Dead and Gone

My fault…mine alone.

I should have been more careful.

I shouldn't have acted in the moment.

I shouldn't have revealed my identity.

I shouldn't have let the escape.

I should have thought of her.

I should have…

He knew that, how much ever he regretted, he would never be able to bring her back, she was gone.

He had never felt lonely in his life before. A part of him was taken from him. He was nothing but hollow being of what he used to be. He couldn't even remember her! The only part of her which remained with him was the image of her tortured body. It had taken him weeks to start functioning normally. And now that he was, from outside, he knew what he had to do. He wanted to avenge her death…that would be the only way he would seek peace.

He apparated into Diagon Alley with determination, word had gotten to him from a trusted source, about her killer. With hurried steps, he walked further inside till he reached an isolated area. He entered the bar on his right. He found the table in whose death he was interested.

Without further ado, Fabian cast the killing spell. It hit his man square in the chest and he fell backward. His action was greeted by commotion. He tried to take out as many as he could, before his wand was taken from him.

No matter, I am prepared, he thought.

He bit the pill which had been placed between his teeth. It cracked and he felt the poison sink in.

Bitter…death…finally…

Those were the last thoughts his mind registered.

AN: First time I have written about Fabian Prewett, I didn't realize that it would be hard! And especially to bring it down to 273 words exactly…phew!

Anyway, hope it was a decent read.

Please review. =)
