I Am Harry James Potter, Sorcerer Supreme! A Harry Potter/Doctor Strange/Avengers Crossover Fanfiction

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any of its associated characters: all rights belong to JK Rowling. I do not own Avengers, Doctor Strange or any of its associated characters: all rights belong to Marvel, Stan Lee and the MCU. I do not own any other crossover references used in the story: all rights belong to their original creators. I do own any OC spells explained at the end of a chapter.

Plot: Expelled from Hogwarts after the TWT, Harry hit rock bottom and was willing to do anything to find his identity again. When a meeting gives him one last chance, Harry takes it, but in order to succeed, he must be willing to open his eyes all the way.

Author's Note: So, I know there'll be a lot of people who look at this and either label it unbelievable, too much or wrong in so many ways, but, at the end of the day, this is the fun of Fan Fiction. Also, I admit, this idea came to me because of something from Endgame, so expect a few minor references to that, but, hopefully, nothing that will ruin it for anyone.

Anyway, this story was also inspired by the work of another who wrote something similar, but taking a different route, so all I'll say is let the fun and games begin and, to all my faithful friends and readers, I hope you enjoy my own take on this theme.

And, as always, if you don't like it, don't read it.

Added Note: Also, before anyone asks, this story will start after Avengers 1/Avengers Assemble and be an AU of events from there on in, ESPECIALLY in the case of the movie featuring the big twist I'm making. Also, in a manner of speaking, Endgame WON'T feature in this story except in references for obvious reasons, but, anyway, see what you think of this adventure.

And, again, if you don't like it, don't read it.

Dedication: I'd like to dedicate this story to all my good friends: my recommended reads are Harry Potter: Iron Magician by Lordofslytherin692 – the story that inspired this one – as well as Saviour of Magic by Colt01, Child of the Storm and Ghosts of the Past by Nimbus Llewelyn, Master Potter of Kamar-Taj by Ryuko monogatari, Magical Avenger by EricPotter97, Harry Potter and the Responsibility of Ability by Nimrod Everdeen, Heroes Assemble by Stargon1, Avengers: Broken Oath by LordSlytherin120, Who's This White Kid? Prologue: A Different Path

"It is the duty of the Sorcerer Supreme to protect the Time Stone…"

"Then why the hell did Strange give it away?"

Time is a funny thing.

If there was one constant that her eight centuries of life had given her, it was that Time was definitely a funny thing, even for one whom was charged with wielding the ultimate controller of time itself.

And yet, the Ancient One was also troubled by the way Time had decided to play a long game with her.

Meeting that stranger from a time even she could not perceive, learning of the way that the future had been affected by the actions of the one she had often seen becoming her successor, in potentially every possible timeline she saw, and then going on to do what she had done, it had all felt like a really long game being played. And, as a result, the outcome was something that left her thoughts divided, even as she watched the mysterious man, the future Bruce Banner, leave her alone on the rooftop of the New York Sanctum.

Then, barely three minutes after the strange time traveller had vanished, the Ancient One found the Time Stone once again, safely returned to her, exactly as he had promised, allowing her to return it to the Eye of Agamotto.

But when she had done so, the Ancient One did something she had told herself – or rather, she had argued with herself – in the minutes it took for the Time Stone to be taken away and then returned to her, she would not do.

She looked into the Time Stone's power, using its dominance over time to see what he had seen, what the Time Stone had seen and what, exactly, her successor was doing. The force of going so far ahead, so far beyond what she had known was her own final days, and seeing beyond the limits of her usual precognitions had taken their toll on her, but no ways were bigger than that which had hit her in her heart.

Sorcerer Supreme

Tearing herself out of the visions and the thoughts that flooded her mind and heart, the Ancient One staggered back, falling hard against a nearby wall in the Sanctuary Portal Chamber of Kamar-Taj, one hand clutched to her chest while the other trembled as it was wrapped around the Eye of Agamotto, her eyes wider than wide as she felt the memories hit her.

'Why Strange? How could you do it? How could you think that was the only way to win? And to look so blank about it, even after it was over, and, before then, to think it was the only way…why, Stephen?'

Even with all the risks she took to try and find the right sort of being to pass the torch to, the Ancient One had always tried to find another way to deal with the worst-case scenarios; ways that didn't involve sacrificing the innocent, ending the duties and pride, as well as the honour of the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme.

But Stephen?

He had done that.

When she saw that, the Ancient One looked down at the Eye of Agamotto with a dark look in her eyes; one that brought back more memories, namely one of the last things she had said to Future-Banner.

"Maybe he made a mistake."

"Or I did," whispered the Ancient One, tears visibly falling from her eyes as she wept for what she had seen, even as her own words came back to her, though not before she added a last part. "Strange was meant to be the best of us…but maybe I was wrong."

Lifting herself from the ground, the Ancient One closed her eyes, trying to reinforce her mind's defences against the traumas she had seen: at the same time, she made herself a vow.

She would never repeat what she had seen to anyone; not Wong, Mordo, Kaecilius…nobody.

And if Stephen Strange did wind up coming to her, to Kamar-Taj, seeking the truth, seeking answers and aiming to set the wheels in motion, she would not accept him, no matter what Mordo said, no matter what the risk or dangers, she wouldn't do it.

The Sorcerer Supreme was meant to protect Earth.

So she would protect it.

But not from Dormammu or interdimensional evils.

She would protect it, as well as the ones whose lives he had ruined with his blindness, from Doctor Strange!

And as for her successor.

She would just have to wait, hope and pray that a worthy soul was out there…somewhere.

Sorcerer Supreme

Little did the Ancient One know that, not far from one of her Sanctums, a young soul of magic was taking his first steps towards a series of events that would not only change his life.

They would also change the future as everyone knew it.

So, this little prologue to the main adventure is just to set the scene and, wow, I think it sounds fun and interesting, but what sort of 'changes' are about to enter the lives of both worlds?

Also, how do you suppose the decision of the Ancient One, as well as the addition/change in plan that sees our favourite boy-hero take on a much-greater role than he could imagine, will affect other parts of the same universe?

Keep Reading to Find Out

Next Chapter: Harry's fifteenth birthday is not a day of celebration, not after everything he's had to deal with, but from out of the darkness, a single ray of light offers opportunity and so much more to him, but after everything he's gone through, he has to ask himself: is he prepared to deal with more crap? What else does he have to lose?

AN: The Ancient One

So, before anyone has a go at me about this theme, let me explain what my thought is;

The Ancient One wielded the Time Stone for years as Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, so my idea is that, somehow, she still remembers what happened, even after the Stones were returned to their 'normal time' because of her connection to the time stream and how often she has peered through time.

As a result, she wanted to see for herself what happened and, what she saw, she didn't like, so she looks for another option.

And there is where our hero comes into it…
