It makes me happy when I see you smile.

But isn't that what I was made for? To please others? They like to talk about how I am human, or how I might have been human. But even with the semblance of freedom I am still a bird beating its wings against its cage. I am still bound by the laws you programmed into me. I am not your life's work.

And this should make me sad. I know that you won't stop until you've created your masterpiece... And then what will happen to me? Humans are all the same. They strive for something better than what they have, and they abandon what has now been outdated.

But you gave me feelings, father. You set me up for a fall, because I can feel pain and you are the one who causes me pain.

I should feel bitter, shouldn't I, father? You made me that way. You made it so if I hurt then I will be sad. But strangely, I am happy knowing that you will be happy, even if it means you no longer love me. You brought me to life and I won't let that make me sad. Because I love you.
