Heya, this was written for the Creature Challenge, and I really a lot of fun with it :D Please 'scuse the grammer and such, it's just my take on the inner workings of a bunnys head. Reviews are much appreciated, by the way (:
The latch was undone; she hadn't pinned it properly. My hutch was boring. Outside the hutch was tempting. It was green, soso green, the colour of fresh. My hutch was brown and orange and yellow, the colours of bored. I wriggled out the door, paws feeling the sudden, sharp fresh under them, and I congratulated myself on having an adventure.
The fresh was very cold, and soon my paws were numb. But the little flowers were the colour of sunlight and tasted nice. They were yummy and I ate them and I was full but I wanted moremoremore of the sunshine flowers because they tasted so nice.
I sat in the fresh, happy and proud and full.
Suddenly I pricked up my ears.
I could smell him before I could hear him, though. He was sneaky.
My paws were sore.
I'd escaped; run away; gone to stretch my legs and taste the fresh. But now I wanted the safety back. I scurried to the left, to home, but he was there, the scent of him blocking my path. Still couldn't see him, but…
There.
Frozen. Frozenfrozenfrozenfrozen. I couldn't move. I wanted the nice one; the big pink one with long head fur, to come save me.
He wasn't moving either. While we stared at each other the fresh chilled my sore paws. I prepared myself.
Go!
Runrunrunrunrun not fast enough. Heartbeat; so fast. Legs; not fast enough. I wanted the pink one. Pinkypinkypinky helpmehelphelphelphelp. There's a fox. Big snappy jaws, I'm the dinner. I can't outrun him. I'mfast he'sfaster.
Legs pumping so fastfastfastfast heart feels sososo badbad; want Pinky to save me.
Numb, chilled paws means, oh; a stumble. I'm down. Soft grass. Hard claws.
Blood.
