I was in my desk in the L.A.P.D. doing a report on some Vice case. Of course, the Vice Department is not only glamorous, but also corrupt. For many years, I worked with that department and didn't get a promotion to move to the ranks, but it's okay with me. So, when I was about to finish my report, I suddenly get a phone call.

"Hello?"

"It's me, Roy." the voice is barely worried.

"Oh it's you, Leland. What do you want?"

"I want you to go to my office this instant."

Huh? I thought. Why would he want to see me this instant at a time like this?

"Can't that wait? I'm working on some report for Vice." I said, wanting to finish my report.

"As of now, our corruption is almost been exposed." Monroe says as if he's worried.

The words coming out of his mouth have shocked me. Who could do such a thing? As I know of, no one is allowed to go near Elysian Fields. If that happens, it's gonna put not only Monroe, but also other Suburban Redevelopment Fund members like the Mayor and Police Chief into jail. However, I joined them so I'm going to jail, too.

Who is trying to expose our corruption?

"What are you talking about?"

"That's why I said go to my office for an explanation." says Monroe.

So I walked out of my desk and went to Elysian Fields. The time was 4:10 pm.

I walked to the office of Leland Monroe, the head of this company. I knew that he is one of the SRF members. Even though he is the leader, Dr. Harlan Fontaine could also be the one who led the Mayor and the Chief into joining the organization.

"Hi, Leland, how's it going?" I greeted him in a nice manner, as I've always been.

"Oh I'm good, Roy."

"What is going on?" I asked. I want to know who is trying to send us to jail.

"Our corruption is exposed, that's what." replies Monroe. "This afternoon, two cops are questioning me about the fires in the Morelli's household."

"And who is this cop?"

"I know his face. It's the cop who has an affair with a German singer."

This made me realized who that person is: Cole Phelps! I know who he is: the partner whom I betrayed by reporting his affair with Elsa Lichtmann to the SRF. But how could do such a thing?

Of course, I realized the answer has hit me: When I reported his affair, he was transferred to Arson so that he would not get too close to the corruption. So far, he isn't doing anything to expose us so it's a good thing. That is until he disobeyed the order to stay away from Elysian Fields. Now I know why Monroe sent me to his office. It's my doing that Cole has almost exposed our corruption. He got me and I've never been so humiliated in all my life!

"So, what do I do now?"

"I want you to stop that cop from investigating my company further." was the reply I could get.

"Of course." I said obviously.

I left Elysian after our chat. Now it's time for me to find Cole, but where he would be? Then I realized he will be going at the Blue Room to watch Elsa sing. I just can't believe he got me, and I'm so humiliated. I got to stop him before he puts me and the entire SRF to jail.
