" There is absolutely no doubt that you are Cog Material" a large man in a military cap stated . " Thank You Sir, I will serve Sera well" " Down the hall is the armory, get suited up and prepare to board the Raven" both men saluted each other as Marcus walked down the hall to a large steel door with a glowing red sign stating " Armory Facility". A large floating robotic device opened the door from the other side as Marcus jumped back, " What the Hell is that thing" he yelled as a young slender brunette walked out from behind him. "Pvt. Fenix I presume, don't worry thats Jack, his name comes from its ability to rip doors, hack key coded doors and unlock safes. He'll be a very useful tool out on the field" she stated knowledgeably as she shut down Jack. " Yeah well just keep the goddamn thing away from me...who the hell are you anyway?" Marcus asked a bit ticked off. " The name is Anya, I am the new head of communications and technology" " Just show me where the new suits are would ya, id like to get into the field as quickly as possible" he stated, Marcus was brave and was always willing to jump right into the action. " The new Cog suits are over there" she said as she pointed to a large room "After you get suited up, come see me and ill get you your new weaponry"
"God Damn this shit is heavy, how much does it weigh?" he asked as he slumped out of the dressing room. "The basic Cog armor can weigh anywhere from 100 to 180 pounds, the upside is that it can take twelve .50 AE rounds directly to the chest, not that you'll have to worry about that, it also amplifies strength, speed, jumping ability, dexterity and for the fact that it is air conditioned" she stated quite knowledgeably. "All I know is this armor is damn cool looking, anyway wheres my weapon?" he asked as she handed him a large rifle with what looked like a chainsaw attached to the bottom. "This is the new Lancer Assault Rifle, it fires a .50 caliber round and comes with the new emulsion powered Chainsaw Bayonet, every time you pop in a new clip it shoots emulsion right into the chainsaw" " Wow...with this I wont need a side arm" he stated with a good amount of bravado. " Well just in case this is the basic Cog pistol, 9mm rounds, it comes with a bigger clip now though" she said as she shrugged and popped it into his holster. " Well Pvt. Fenix you're all set, the Ravens will be departing for the war zone shortly." As Marcus walked outside to board the Raven he was set to be transported on he saw a large, muscular black man about 6 '8 from what he could tell, he looked oddly familiar. As he boarded the Raven he noticed that there where three people next to him, a man in a full suit of armor, he sounded young, His buddy Dom from training camp, full name Dominic Santiago, and the leader of there squad, Lt. Kim a large bald man.
" Hey Marcus, I didn't think we would see each other again you crazy son of a bitch" he said chuckling a bit from the excitement. " So your Pvt. Fenix, I heard a lot about you from the captain, your a good soldier from what everyone else has been saying about you" "Yeah well I try my best" he said smiling. " Dammit I hate this gun, the damn thing keeps jamming" the young man said " Carmine you have to load the clip then cock the slide back" Dom said as he showed the young soldier. "I hope you like the city." Lt. Kim said laughing as the Raven took off toward the cities of Sera.
