For the first time in his life he was excited. He was going to receive a Pokémon. He loved the idea of pitting animals against each other until one of them fainted.
He already had a bunch of poke balls that he had stolen from passing trainers.
Now was as good a time as any to start his Pokémon journey, right in the middle of winter.
He got out the Pokédex that he had taken from some dumb kid and prepared to go on his journey to get the best Pokémon so that he could faint every single Pokémon.
He was kind of different. Unable to feel any emotions left him as a stone cold sociopath. But he didn't care. He loved to see things suffer, and as a result of this his family ditched him. He wasn't even allowed a Pokémon by the regional Professor, Professor Eucalyptus.
After travelling for an hour he spotted his first Pokémon. A Spoink! He got out the Pokédex and read the description. Apparently Spoink's always had to bounce on their tails or their hearts would stop, but that problem would be eliminated once it evolved. He was going to cherish every second that he had this Pokémon.
Looks like the snow is slowing it down, if I wait long enough it might get weak enough so that I can capture it.
After a minute Spoink started to tip over and our main character immediately threw a Pokéball and caught it.
He let the spoink out for a minute and just stared at it.
Spoink looked around realizing he was out of the snowbank and squealed in happiness.
He then noticed the trainer looking down at him holding his Pokéball.
Oh great. I've been captured. I didn't want to join this guy I mean I have a family, but at least I'm out of the snowbank. Nothing I can do now but go with the flow. Spoink thought to himself.
Spoink shivered and looked at his new master. "Spoink!" he cried wanting to go back in the Pokéball. It was far too cold to be out here.
His new master looked down at him and just shook his head.
