Rainy Day.

A/N: first serious fic. I'm so proud. It's set when Sakura and all of then are 17. Syaoran is still in Japan, he never went back to Hong Kong.

Sakura ran down the pavement, mud splashing her shoes. She cursed Touya. "Get the groceries squirt, it's not like it's going to rain anyway." She mumbled under her breath. She just wanted to get out of the rain, and quickly.

She was running so fast around the corner that she didn't even see Syaoran coming the other way.

CRASH!

"Oh no! Syaoran I'm so sorry!" she wailed as she tried to gather the food spilling into the streets. "It's ok, Sakura." He said gently, kneeling down to pick up the pastries. Sakura smiled. "It's lucky I bumped into you of all people, other wise, I'd be stuck here with no one to help me." Syaoran shrugged. "Why were you out anyway, it's raining, you know." Sakura grinned. "Touya." "Oh." Syaoran smiled to himself. Touya always acted like the mean big brother, but in reality he loved Sakura more then anything. That was one thing Touya and Syaoran had in common.

"Let me walk you home. I have an umbrella." Offered Syaoran. "Really! Syaoran you're so nice! That's what I love about you!" Syaoran, beet red, offered her his hand to get up. "Wow, Syaoran your such a gentlemen, if only Touya was like you." Syaoran smiled. Sakura laughed. "What?" asked Syaoran innocently. "You smiled! You hardly ever smile!" He laughed as he fell into step next to her. "Yeah, I guess your right."

They walked in the rain, Sakura doing most of the talking and Syaoran occasionally nodding and agreeing, just enjoying being in Sakura's company. "So, how's Wei at the moment?" he heard her ask. "Oh fine, fine, but age is catching up to him, I'm afraid." Sakura frowned. "Well, I have to look after him, not like back when we were catching the cards, and he was looking after me. But he is happy." Sakura nodded. "That's good." Syaoran smiled. Sakura giggled. "You're doing it again!" Syaoran grinned. "So I'm not allowed to smile now, am I?"

Sakura stopped walking. "This is my house here," she said, pointing to a yellow house with a blue roof. Syaoran stood in front of her not sure what to do. "Well, Bye then." He said, not smiling. Sakura smiled. "Now your unhappy!" Sakura smiled. "I'll make you smile." She whispered, drawing closer to his face. She quickly brushed her lips against his for a few moments, before drawing back. "Are you happy now?" she asked. Syaoran, blushing furiously, nodded. "Wei…Home…Rain…Bye Sakura!" he almost yelled, and ran straight down the street.

Sakura watched him go, and smiled before going inside.

THE END.

A/N: R+R, I'll write more if you like.
