100 word drabbles are NOT EASY. It was so hard to pick a subject and try to get my point across without getting into detail and turning it into a saga.

Ed doesn't understand ambition.
He doesn't see the point in trying so hard for something as insignificant as a title. Roy tried to explain it once, and only once. He gave up seven hours later and has accepted that Ed just doesn't understand.
Ed glances over to where his lover sits hunched over his desk, plotting another scheme to get another promotion. It's ok, he decides, he doesn't need to understand. He understands Roy and that's all he needs. It doesn't matter if he is unable to see the point of it all.
For now what they have is enough.
