My Dearest Endymion

*Author's Comments*

Just another poem from Usagi's point of view about Mamoru, but this one deals with the cycle they seem to have with love and death.

-------

My Dearest Endymion,
You are my first love, my only love.
A love like ours was destined in the stars.
Two kindred souls forever united as as one.
Two loving hearts beating for each other.
Only to be seperated by the hands of death.
Yet even death can not stop our love.
Like a ring, our love is unending.
A promise bound for all eternity.

My Dearest Endymion,
I am meant for you and you alone.
Transcending time, to live again,
Even in another life, I'll find you.
For our souls cry out for one another,
And our hearts guide us to each other.
Yet sadness never follows far behind,
As the ring completes its revolution,
But a love like ours shall not be denied.

My Dearest Endymion,
Even thru the shifting sands of time,
I am yours forever, always, and evermore.
For once the cycle stars anew,
I'll resume my search for love so true.
Every time my search will lead me to you,
But as the sequence always begins,
It must also come to an end.
Prisoners of this endless cycle.

My Dearest Endymion,
I hope my voice reaches your ear,
As I wish upon the stars up above,
For something I longed would come true.
Perhaps during the next rotation,
Of this merry-go-round of love,
The end won't be so quick to catch us,
And I'll find happiness with you,
Before the ring can begin anew.
