The dawn is approaching I feel it in my hands The earth begins unfolding The sunlight bathes the land

The rich aroma floats slowly And spring is in the air, I would rather look upon that valley Than any kingdom fair

Soft and dark is the earth, Of that which I have tilled. Without such, The gap in my heart would Always go unfilled

Brilliant green begins beholding At last making it's first stand, And again I feel the wonder Of all the life inside this land

And even when I'm gone I know that green things Will be growing

And even though my life Will end, some things I go on knowing

And even a simple gardener, (Be that is what I am) I still work day in and out. (But having life flow through my hands)

And I would not give it up, Not for life, nor gold, nor care (Because the grass would Go untended if I would not Be there!!)
