.

Katerina Anders sat on her bed staring at the trig book that was sitting in front of her.

'Why on Earth did I do this to myself.' The seventeen year old was now regretting taking the extra math class to help get herself ahead. All for a college scholarship that she didn't even know if she wanted.

'If I drop out Monday morning, I bet I could make it to the Bahamas before mom caught on to what I was doing. Ugh, this is the last year of high school. I can and will do this.'

She ran her fingers through her shoulder length black hair then fell backwards on her bed. While staring at the ceiling she could hear her siblings downstairs arguing over something.

'Probably over who gets to play' She grinned as she heard them getting louder. 'Guess I better go stop them from killing each other.' Kit got up from her comfortable bed and headed to the top of the stairs.

"You were playing all day yesterday! It's my turn and you know it" her sister yelled from the living room.

"Well today's a new day. So it's mine cause I got here first." Her brother responded back.

Katerina sighed and walked down the stairs to try and settle the problem as civilly as she could. When she got to the bottom of the stairs she saw her sister holding a game case and her brother holding the controller. She looked between the two of them, but neither of them even noticed her. Her sisters name was Kayla, she went by Kay, and they could be twins with how much they look alike. The only noticable difference in the girls was the color of their eyes. Kay had very deep, striking green eyes. While Katerina had sapphire blue eyes. They both had slim figures, both had the same jet black hair, pale white skin, and delicate facial structures. Kay was a whole inch taller, despite her being a year younger. She was a whopping 5'3" while Katerina only hit 5'2". Her brother, Kevin, was the odd man out. He was 5'6" at fourteen years old. He had the signature jet black hair but he was tan and his eyes were a dark brown.

"Kit!" Her sister finally noticed her standing there. She looked down at her feet, embarrassed that she was caught arguing with her younger brother.

"Why don't we just have her play? She's beat Ocarina of Time like 100 times." Her brother said. He just didn't want Kit to tell Mom they were arguing again. He'd be grounded. Again.

"Yea! I need to watch you go through the forest temple anyway." Kay agreed eagerly.

"No way. You need to do that one on your own. You've watched me play everytime so you should have this down" Kit replied, not really in the mood to play at the moment. Her trig had given her a slight headache.

"Well can you at least be my navigator?" Kay asked while pouting slightly.

"I suppose I can do that. Kevin if you want to play my DS you can. It's on my nightstand in my room." Kit said to her brother. He just nodded and then turned to go get the DS.

"Alright," Kit started "let's get this bad boy going." She started up the game and handed the controller to Kay. Kay went to her game and she started at the end of the lost woods. She got into the temple and defeated the wolfos that spring to life and ran at her. As soon as the second wolfos, hit the ground the girls were blinded by a bright light and then the power went out. Kit started to look around the room and she couldn't find Kay anywhere.

'What. The. Hell. Mom is going to kill me...'

.

'Oh my goodness, my head hurts.' Kay was laying on something hard and couldn't figure out what just happened. She laid there trying to make since of what just happened when she heard someone talking.

"Link! How do we get to the treasure chest that high up? I bet it's the dungeon map!" A slightly annoying female voice asked.

"Just give me a second Navi. I'm trying to figure it out." A masculine voice answerd, irritated with his companion.

'Link? Navi? There's no way...' Kay decided to open her eyes and try and sit up. She let out a slightly pained groan and got herself into a sitting position. She looked for the source of the voices and saw a boy and a glowing light floating around his head walking up to her. 'I must've hit my head. That's what this is. I'm dreaming, or crazy... There's no way that is Link.' She just stared at him as his pace quickened. He looked alarmed that some random girl was laying in the middle of the woods, but then again who wouldn't be?

"Hey, are you ok?" Link asked as he started to lean down to help her.

"Link! Watch out! She could be working for Ganondorf!" The bright light, that she assumed was Navi, yelled.

"She's hurt Navi, I'm not going to leave an injured girl laying on the ground." Link frowned as he helped Kay up.

"What exactly are you doing here? And how did you even get up here?" He asked, as he checked her head for any injuries.

"Well those are both good questions. I'm not sure how I got here... Or where here is." Kay answered while looking around. 'There's no way this is...'

"Well this is the forest temple" Link answered her question before she could finish her disbelieving thoughts. "What's your name? Sorry I kinda forgot my manners there. I just didn't expect a wounded girl laying on the steps here. I mean I'm looking for a girl but not you... Not saying it's bad but.. I'm babbling. My name's Link..." He blushed embarrassedly.

"My names Kay. And it's ok." She blushed 'Wow, he's really cute... And still touching me.' She glanced down at his hand still on her arm. As soon as Link noticed he was still holding her he yanked his hand back as if she burned him. He placed his hand on the back of his head and looked at the ground.

"Well I don't want to leave you out here alone. It's not safe and who knows what else might just show up out here. Would you like to follow me through the temple? I promise I'll keep you safe." He asked once he noticed she didn't have any weapons or anything to keep herself safe.

"Uh, sure. I bet I'll even be of some use to you in there." She hoped she could remember how to get past all the puzzles.

"I'd love to help with the fighting," she said "but I'm not good with weapons or fighting or anything link that."

"That's fine. Navi's not that useful and I keep her around" Link said jokingly. Kay smiled and laughed a little.

"Well, let's head inside then." Link said as he glanced at the door to the temple. He was worried about bringing Kay in with him. It wasn't a month ago that he was only a ten year old boy scared out of his mind while he tried to help Princess Zelda. He never he'd be some kind of hero, never even wanted it. None of his friends recognized him, and the ones that did are all trapped in temples. Apparently they're all sages and he had to be the one to save them as well as all of Hyrule. He shook his head, trying to get rid of the thoughts that kept him up at night. Before the trio made it to the door a thought suddenly popped into Kays head.

"Hey, did you get that treasure chest you were talking about a few minutes ago?" She asked Link.

"Oh, no I saw you laying here and forgot about it. I need to figure out a way to get up there." He replied as they turned and we're walking back towards the tree that held the chest.

"I bet if you climb up those vines on this side you can use your hookshot and get to the other tree no problem" Kay said as she walked to the other side of the room. She pulled on the vines, making sure they'd hold up if used for climbing. Link nodded as he walked over and started to climb up. Kay couldn't see him as he made it to the top of the tree but after a minute she heard him use his hookshot and then she saw him shoot across to the other tree.

"Did you get it?" She yelled up at her new friend.

"Yea." He stuck his head over the side and waved something at her. "It's a key. I'll be down in a minute." Kay heard him use the hooksoot again as he flew over her head and landed safely back in the first tree. He made his way back down the vines and as soon as he was back on solid ground, they made their way towards the door to the temple.

'You can do this.' They both thought at the same time. They looked at each other and smiled as the pair made it's way into the temple. As soon as they stepped through the door they were immediately greeted by a giant skulltula. Kay shuddered and stepped so that she was almost hiding behind Link. She was not a fan of the normal spiders that were easily stepped on. 'This big ole bastard needs to go right back to whatever hell it crawled out of...' She thought as she tried to hide herself completely behind her Hylian companion as the giant spider turned to look at them. Link didn't even flinch as he used the hooksoot and killed it instantly. He grinned and looked over his shoulder.

"I told you I'd protect you. Especially from the giant evil spiders from hell" He chuckled as he turned his head back forward. Kay blushed realizing she must've said that out loud a moment ago.

"Yea well I've never seen a skulltula before. They're kind of terrifying." She replied as she glared at his back. They got to the end of the hallway, carefully not to step on the giant hell spider, and made it to the main room. As soon as they made it to the top of the stairs in the main room the colourful flames disappeared from their respective torches and four different Poes appeared where the flames used to be. They went in separate directions as the elevator in the middle of the room decended into the floor.

'Well this is going to be a giant pain in the ass' Kay thought as they made their way down the stairs. Link looked around at the different doors thoughtfully, trying to decide which one to go in first.

"Let's try this one first" He said as he pointed to the door directly across from where they entered the main room.

"Sounds good to me." Kay said as she followed him. 'Damn I wish I could remember which one you're supposed to go in first. This is gonna be a lot harder than I thought.' Link helped her up onto the platform where the stairs to the door they wanted to go through was. Link went through the door first, just in case, and it was a good thing he did. The minute he stepped through the door a giant flaming skull with wings charged at him. He lifted his shield and the skull bounced off and was jumping at him, trying to bite him. He hit it with his sword and it looked like it engulfed itself in the blue flames and dissapeared. He turned towards Kay with a concerned look on his face.

"Some of these doors close and won't open until you kill whatever it is that's inside. You might not want to come inside some of these rooms." He looked at her with worry on his face. He looked at the ground before he spoke again

"You have no weapons and nothing to help defend yourself. This might've been a horrible idea. I'm so sorry Kay."

"Well don't you have another shield? I'm sure I can at least keep myself from getting stabbed. Maybe I'll just stay behind you and watch your back?" She tried to keep him from feeling guilty. It wasn't his fault she was stuck here going through this aweful dungeon.

"Actually.." He said as he started digging through his bag. He pulled out his old wooden shield and his Kokiri sword.

"You think you can use these? They're too small to be much use to me but you're on the smaller side so they could help you out." He said with a slight grin.

"What an honor to get your hand me downs." She said sarcastically glaring at him. She never liked it when anyone pointed out how small she was. She was just vertically challenged.

"When we get out of here I'll take you to Kakariko Village and get you a better shield. I promise I won't let you get hurt. Just stay behind me and let me walk into the rooms first." He put a hand on her shoulder as he promised to keep her safe. He showed her how to hold the shield properly. They turned and went through the next door. The moment they both stepped in, iron bars slammed over the door behind them and two giant stalfos seemed to come out of the floor. Link immediately shoved Kay behind him and got into a defensive position. Kay held her sheild the way he just showed her and kept her back to him. It was kind of odd how they attacked one at a time and the first one pretty much ignored Kay completely. It was like its only goal was to kill Link. The hero made quick work of the first stalfos. He made sure to keep Kay behind him the entire time and made sure he was the stalfos only concern. The second attacked as soon as his partner fell. This one seemed a bit smarter than the first and kept jumping over Links head and trying to strike at Link and Kay. She managed to block a few hits but the stalfos managed to strike her thigh. She cried out in pain and fell to the ground. Link didn't give it another chance to do do anything other than block. He violently swung his sword and bashed the stalfos with his shield. As soon as he delt with the stalfos, he ran back to Kay.

"Are you ok?" He asked panicked as he dug through his bag. He pulled out a bottle full of red potion, uncorked the bottle and handed it to her.

"I think I'll be ok." She said as she was looking at her blood soaked jeans. She took the bottle from him.

"How much of this am I supposed to drink?" She asked before she took a sip and immediately gagged. The red potion was thick, like syrup, and overly sweet.

"Half the bottle should do it. This cut is pretty deep. I'm sorry. I promised to keep you safe and look at you," he looked down at her thigh again and gently rubbed his thumb on her knee. The look on his face almost broke her heart.

"Hey, I'll be fine. As long as you have an abundance of this nasty red potion I'm sure we'll make it out of here just fine," she put her hand on the hand he had on her knee.

"It's not your fault so don't beat yourself up over it hero," she said after she finished drinking half the potion. He moved his hand from her leg as she handed the bottle back to him. He put the cork back in the bottle and stuck it back in his bag. He sighed and stood up. Navi decided to make her presence known as she flew out of his hat. She landed on Kay's leg and started watching the wound close up.

"Your leg should be as good as new now," the little fairy said. Kay tried to get a closer look at the tiny flying female, but she was very bright. Kay could make out the shape of a female and two wings but nothing else.

"We need to get a move on it if we want to help Saria." Navi said as she started flying around the human girl still sitting on the floor. Link extended a hand to help Kay off of the ground as he nodded.

"You're right. Let's go explore," he paused as he looked at Kay.

"You sure you're ok now?" His hand still held hers as he stared into her eyes. It was almost like he was searching for something inside her soul. She looked away from his beautiful, azure blue eyes, her head turned to the door and she finally answered him.

"I'm fine. I promise. Now let's go," she said as streached her arms over her head. They made their way back out the door. The giant skull was back again in the hallway leading to the main room. Link made quick work of it and they were back out in the elevator room. As they made their way down the stairs Navi pointed out the huge blue block in a doorway to nowhere.

"Link if you play the song of time here the block might dissapear like the last one we found!" She squealed out. Man, was her voice annoying at times. Link nodded and dug through his bag to find his Ocarina. Once he pulled it out he played the song of time. It was one of the most beautiful things Kay had ever heard in her life. All of a sudden a bright blue light shine all around the block as it dissapeared. As they made their way through the door Link quickly dispatched the deku baba that tried to take a bite of him and looked around the room. There was a river going through the middle of the room. There was a bridge and three pillars in front of us. Link began to walk out towards the bridge when an octorok splashed up out of the water. While he delt with that, Kay made her way to the right side of the room. There were more of those climbable vines going up the wall and it was covered in those aweful spiders. She took her sword out and stabbed the one closest to the ground. She gave up in the higher up one's. No way was she going to climb up just to kill some spiders. Link walked up behind her and studied the wall.

"This is the only way out of this room. Wait here, I'll climb up and take care of the other skulltula," he said while he stared up at the opening in the wall.

"Ok. Be careful," Kay replied staring up at the skulltula. Link took out his hookshot and launched himself up the wall. He hurried and got to the opening before he could be knocked off. He leaned over the edge and used his hookshot to kill the skulltula. Kay took this as her cue and began climbing the viney wall. She got to the opening and laid on the ground panting for oxygen.

"I'm really out of shape," she huffed out. Link chuckled at her as he helped her off the ground. They walked into the room and the iron bars slammed shut behind them. A blue bubble attacked Link as he walked farther into the room. As soon as he killed it the iron bars on the door lifted and and a giant chest appeared in the room. He looked at me and grinned.

"You want to open it?" She squealed as soon as he got the words out.

"Really? I've always wanted to open a chest. It looks so awesome!" She managed to reply while bouncing on the balls of her feet. She ran over and opened the chest as a bright light came from inside the chest, she leaned down and pulled out the dungeon map.

"It's the map for the dungeon," she said while studying the old looking paper. She handed it to Link and he started to examine it.

"Well," he said while still looking at the map "looks like we need to go through this door over here." He pointed to the door to their right. She nodded as they started to walk to the door. They walked out onto a balcony with a deku baba waiting to get a bite of something. Link sliced through it and he walked to the edge looking around for a way to get them where they needed to be.

"It looks like there's only one way over there. I'll have to hookshot us both to that balcony." Link said while pointing at a bullseye above the other balcony.

"How do you wanna do this?" She asked looking between him and the bullseye. She knew she want heavy, but she doubted Link could hold her with one arm and get them across safely.

"Just hold onto me and I'll make sure we get over there. Hey, don't be scared. I've got you." He said as he noticed the worried look on her face. She nodded as she walked over to Link and wrapped her arms around his neck. He put an arm around her waist and pulled her close. She could feel his muscles against her chest as he squeezed her closer to him.

"Ready?" He asked turning his face to look at hers. Their faces we're so close together she wouldn't have to lean very far to kiss him. She turned red at the thought of kissing the hero of time and tried to get the thought out of her head. She cleared her throat and shook her head yes. He smiled and looked towards the other balcony and they shot off. It was definitely a crazy feeling being flung through the air while an extremely attractive man holds you tightly. They landed safely on the balcony and she quickly pulled herself away from the hero. They turned to look for a door but all that was there was a switch on the floor. Link walked up and stepped on it. Kay saw the water in the well start to drain.

"Well looks like you get to go down the creepy well," she said as he walked up next to her.

"What? You mean you don't want to go down with me?" He teased with a gentle nudge to her ribs. She stared at the well remembering that awful one in Kakariko Village that Link would have to go down. Alone. She wasn't sure if she could travel back in time with him, or if she'd even be here that long. She sighed and looked at him.

"Well I'd rather not but if you want me to I'll go down the well with you. Just remembered that this is the last well I'll ever go down for you," she said with a girn. He chuckled and helped her over the railing so the could climb down the vines.

"You don't have to. It looks like dead end on the map so if you want to wait for me at the top that's fine. I'll have Navi stay with you. She detects danger faster than you or I ever could," he said as he helped her down from the vines. They made their way over to the well and Link looked over the edge.

"I'll be back up in a few minutes. Just stay here. Please don't go exploring or monster hunting while I'm down there," he said with a smile. He gently nudged his hat and Navi came out.

"Stay here with Kay. I'll be back in a minute. Look after her Navi," he told the tiny fairy. He had a stern look on his face. Almost like he was warning his tiny friend.

"You got it Link! We should be fine right here. If you need me just yell, ok!" The fairy said overenthusiasticly. She flew over to Kay's shoulder and took a seat. They watched as Link climbed down the vines. Once her was out of sight, Kay sat down next to the well and decided to ask the fairy a few questions.

"So, what's it like being a fairy?" She asked looking at the ball of light on her shoulder.

"It's ok I guess. What are you? I've never seen anyone with ears like yours," Navi asked as she flew off Kay's shoulder. It was like she was flying around her head checking for any other oddities.

"I'm... not from around here. You probably haven't heard of my kind," Kay replied while looking at the ground. She didn't know how to explain her world to them. Not yet anyway. All she could think after that was why her? Why not Kit, who knew this game so much better than her? No one could play Zelda like her big sis. What if she never gets to go home? What if she's stuck here forever? She sighed and decided as soon as she got out of this temple she'd look for a way out of here. As much as she liked Link, she was no hero. She needed to be at school on Monday. She had a mom, a sister, and a brother who would be worried sick if she wasn't home soon. She had to make it back. At least for Kit. Mom and

Kevin would probably be fine eventually, but her and Kit were so close. They did almost everything together. She felt a tear fall down her cheek and she quickly wiped it away. She stood up and began to look around for Link. He'd been down there for a while now. Surely he should be back by now.

"Hey guys! I'll be there in a second!" She heard him yell but she didn't see him. She began looking around for him before she spotted him up on a ledge on the other side of the well. He climbed down the vines and walked over to the girls.

"I climbed up right in front of you and you didn't even notice. You feeling ok?" Link asked as he put a hand on her shoulder. His beautiful blue eyes trying to pierce her soul again. Well not this time you sexy elf man.

"I'm fine. Just lost in thought," she smiled up at him and then started to look around.

"Where to now?" She asked still refusing to meet his eyes.

"Back out to the main room. Looks like there's nothing else in this area," Link replied while looking at the map. She nodded and followed him back out into the elevator room. They turned right and went up the stairs and opened the door to the next room. As soon as they stepped into the hallway a giany skulltula dropped form the ceiling. Link quickly hit it with his hookshot and they made they way to the next door.

'This is a puzzle room I think,' Kay thought while looking around the room. She watches Link take out the blue bubble and tried to remember what you got from this dungeon.

'I'm pretty sure he gets the bow here," she thought and she started to walk forward. They made their way up the two ladders in the room and began to explore the top part of the room.

"There are arrows painted in the floor!" Navi yelled out while flying around excitedly. Link nodded and started to look around, trying to figure out what he was supposed to do.

"Oh yeah!" Kay said, happy she remembered this one.

"We need to push these boxes to make a step to the upper floor!" She pointed to the giant brown box to their left.

"It makes sense. There's always crazy puzzles in these things," Link agreed while walking towards the box. They made quick work of pushing the boxes around and made their way up the ladder to the very top. They made their way to the room with the two blue bubbles that were no problem for the hero to take out quickly. They then went into a room that made Kay feel slightly dizzy.

"This hallway is all twisted! I wonder why.." Navi said before she sat on Links shoulder. It was disorienting going down a twisted walkway so Kay tried to get out of there as fast as she could. They made their way into the room with the raised platforms as Navi started to fly around nervously.

"Watch out for the shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling," she warned them. These were the giant hands that threw you all the way back to the beginning of the temple. Great. Kay always hated these things. They jumped as fast as they could to the door and made their way through. As they entered the next room it was mostly just stares that decended and an empty canvass.

'I think he's going to have to fight one of the Poes in this room,' Kay thought as she studied the black canvass. As they made their way to the second level she saw the red Poe hanging in this canvass. It dissapeared as soon as they got to close only to show up on the third level again. They got to the room at the bottom. The only thing in this room was a door and an extinguished torch. Link took out his sword and shield while nudging Kay so that she'd get behind him and do the same. They walked to the door with nothing deciding to jump out at them for now. As soon as the pair made their way through the door it slammed shut and the sound of it on bars claging against the ground rang out. There was a giant hole in the middle of the room but nothing else was happening. As soon as Link took a step forward a stalfos jumped out the hole in the floor. Link fought a killed the stalfos as fast he could. He didn't want a repeat of the last time they faced one of these. The hole in the floor was filled as it fell from the ceiling, bringing two more stalfos with it. Link fought and killed them both while keeping Kay safely behind him. Neither of the stalfos paid any mind to Kay. As soon as the last one died a chest appeared in the middle of the room.

"Are you alright Kay?" Link asked while giving her a quick once over. She nodded and smiled at him.

"You wanna open this one too?" He asked her while pointing to the chest. Of course she wanted to open it, but this was an important chest. She felt like she should let him open it.

"No. You go ahead. This one seems more important than an old map," she said smiling at him. He nodded and walked over to open the chest. He pulled a bow out of it grinning like a kid on Christmas morning. He showed it to her looking very proud of his new weapon. She grinned at him as they headed out the door into the room with the portraits of the Poe.

"Shoot the picture with the Poe in it with an arrow," Kay instructed him. He turned his head to her with a slightly confused looked but nodded. He shot all three of the potraits and the red Poe appeared. She floated to the bottom of the stairs.

"Stay up here. I'll be right back to get you," he told her while they were on the second set of steps. She nodded and watched him make his way down to fight the Poe. Link walked back up the stairs after a few minutes.

"You ready?" She asked while standing up. She made her way to him as he nodded.

"I got a key. And that torch lit as soon as I killed the Poe. I think that's the way to get the elevator to work," he said while they made their way to the stairs. They went back into the room where they got the bow and made their way to the locked door on the other side of the room. They spotted more of the potraits on the top of the steps. Link had her stay on the middle floor while he took care of the blue Poe. Link walked up after she heard the scream of the Poe.

"I got the compass," he said while grinning.

"You ready to head to the next part?" He asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be," she said while stretching. They made their way back to the area with the twisted corridor and went back to the room with the eye over the door. Link hit it with an arrow and they walked back in to the twisted hallway. Only it wasn't twisted anymore. There was a large, ornate chest on the ground. Link grinned as they climbed down the ladder.

" This might be the key to the bosses chamber," he said when they got to the large chest.

"You wanna open this one?" He asked. She grinned and nodded. She made her way to the chest and opened it. The bright light temporarily blinded her as she grabbed for the key. It was a beautiful gold key that had a ruby at the top of it. She admired it for a few more seconds before handing it to Link.

"It's beautiful," she said as he put the key in his bag.

"I know. Too bad they get destroyed as soon as you use them," he said. Kay frowned slightly as she turned to head back to the ladder. She didn't notice the hole at the bottom of the giant stairs.

"Watch out!" Link yelled as she started to fall. He grabbed her hand to try and stop her from falling but all he accomplished was being dragged down with her. They landed in a heap on the ground their limbs tangled together. Kay groaned and realized that she was on top of Link.

"Well thanks for breaking my fall," she finally got out.

"No problem," he replied with a grin. He quickly pushed her off and jumped up getting his sword and shield out. She hadn't even noticed the two blue bubbles in the room with them. He took care of them quickly and the iron bars lifted from the only way out of the room. Link offered his hand to Kay to help her off the ground. She grabbed his hand and pulled herself up.

"Are you alright? Next time you might want to watch your step," he said with a small chuckle.

"I'm fine thank you very much. And you never would have thought to come down the the mystery hole without my help," she said laughing along with him. They made their way to the door and stepped out on the upper part of the river room from earlier. Link killed the deku baba and they made they're way to the other door. Link took care of the blue bubble that was on the lower level and the pair made their way through the next door. They made their way back to the room where Link killed the blue Poe and went through the door at the top of the steps. They made there way to the locked door after defeating the two green bubbles and entered the weirdest room Kay had seen so far. There was a bunch of pillars rotating in some kind of purple looking water. The pillar in the middle had a torch and the pillar on the right side was empty. She looked around the room trying to figure out what was needed in this room. She spotted the eye switch but it was frozen.

"I think you need to use the torch in the middle of the room to melt the ice on that switch," she said turning to Link.

"Why are these things never easy," he sighed. He jumped onto one of the moving pillars and shot through the fire and hit the switch. They heard what sounded like gears turning but nothing happened. They made their way back out to the hallway and saw that it was twisted now.

"Well at least we know why I had to do all that," Link said as they made their way down the hall. They stood above the hole in the floor staring down at the checked floor below.

"Ready? The map says this is the way to the rest of the Poes," he said after he looked up at her.

"Yea. Why not jump down into another hole of doom," she replied sarcastically.

"I'll go down first, then you jump. I'll catch you," he said with a grin. Then he jumped. She watched as he landed and rolled safely. Well he was a lot better at that when she was holding onto him. Kay took a deep breath then jumped down ready to break her ankle. Link caught her bridal style and was laughing at her screaming as she fell. He sat her on her feet and they looked around the room. Link took a step forward and the ceiling suddenly fell and rose back up. It fell every few seconds.

"There's no way in hell I'm going over there," Kay stated. Her eyes were wide and there was a feeling of dread in her stomach. They stood arguing for a few minutes over the best way to get to the door on the other side. Link threw Kay over his shoulder and ran to the openings the ceiling left. When they made it to the other side of the room he sat her down as soon as he opened the door. There was one big portrait of a green Poe on the wall. Link shot it with an arrow and 5 large blocks fell from the ceiling.

"It's a puzzle," Kay said looking at the large blocks in the middle of the floor.

"I'll stand on the platform and tell you what piece to put where," she said as she walked towards the platform. He agreed and they went to work. He pushed the blocks together and a green Poe appeared as the blocks vanished. Link fought the Poe and the torch lit up in a green flame. They made they're way through the door into the next hallway. The hall led to the main elevator room. In the center of the room the final Poe sat in the middle of the torches.

"Stay here. I'm going to jump down and take care of that last Poe. Jump down when I'm ready to catch you," Link said as he hoped up on the railing.

"Ok. Be careful!" Kay called back as he jumped to the ground. Watching him fight from far away was nerve wracking. Every time he got close to being hit she'd gasp. She tried to help him keep an eye on the real Poe as it split itself up and circled the hero. After several close calls and a few screams from Kay later, Link finally made his way over to her and had her jump down. He easily caught her and say her down gently. They rode the elevator down to the basement and into another puzzle room. It took them a few minutes before they finally made it to the boss chamber. Kay stood out of the fenced in area. Link didn't want her to get hurt. Link walked around in the chamber but didn't find anything interesting except for the identical paintings hanging around the room.

"There's nothing here," Link stated. He started walking back towards Kay but then the fence rose up and Ganon emerged from one of the paintings.

"It's not really Ganon!" Kay shouted. "It's just a puppet. Shoot the painting you see it coming out of with your bow! After that it'll shoot energy balls at you so you'll have to hit them back at him!"

'How does she know this?' Link thought before he saw a very big black horse running at him from a painting. He shot the painting he saw Gannon coming out of. After a long and painful battle with Gannons puppet, Link finally defeated it. As the puppet burned up a blue portal opened up on the floor and the gate fell down. Kay walked up to Link.

"You ok? I saw a few of those energy balls hit you," she said while looking him over.

"I'm fine. It just feels like a burn," he said as he fished out the red potion of his bag. He drank half of it in two drinks. He put the empty bottle back in his bag and looked at her.

"You ready to go meet Saria?" He said giving her a smile. She nodded and grabbed his hand as they stepped into the blue light.

.

"Take care of each other!" Saria yelled as they were teleported in front of the Great Deku Tree. Kay looked up at the large tree with sadness in her eyes. She noticed Link leaned over the sprout that was in front of the once great tree. Link got a little to close so when the little tree burst from the ground he fell back on his bottom. Kay smiled at the surprised look on his face. She heard all of this the first time Kit beat the game so she decided to try to figure out how to get home. She remembered she was playing the game and then woke up here. Would there even be a way home? She glanced over at the hero who was deep in conversation with the tree sprout. Did she even want to go home? She sighed and ran her fingers through her long, jet black hair an stared at the now dead tree.

"Kay? We need to get out of here so I can figure out what to do with you." Link said gently so he wouldn't startle her.

"Huh? Oh.. Yea. Lets go." Kay replied.
