Rosalie P.O.V

I sneak silently past the castle guards, not making a sound. One of them turns in my direction but I duck just in time so that he doesn't see me. Yes! I run as fast as my feet will carry me out of the gates and down the winding streets, the sun beats down on me but I don't care - I'm free! You might say that I'm too young to run away, but I'm seven for goodness sake! I'm old enough to live by myself like a big girl. I carry on running; my hair flys out behind me causing my plaits to become loose and strands to fly about my face. Some people turn and stare at me, I ignore them and carry on running.

I eventually arrive in a meadow full of lavender flowers and bluebells, trees surround the area. It's beautiful, I know! I could live here! I can use the trees and build a house and decorate it with the flowers and the grass can be a rug. Twirling around, I squeal in delight. A butterfly lands on my finger, it's very pretty, "Hello, Mr Butterfly - isn't life simply wonderful?" I greet the butterfly, it seems to nod a bit then flutters off into the distance. Suddenly, I hear footsteps approach. Oh no! Father could have noticed that I've gone and sent out people to look for me! I lay down in the flowers and hope not to be seen, "Whatta ya doing down there?" A voice asks me, I look up to see a boy around my age, maybe a year or two older with sparkling blue eyes and dimples looking down at me curiously, "Hiding," I respond, "Why?" He questions, "I've run away, everyone was annoying me," I tell him, "Don't you recognise me?!" I query, appaled, "Nope," He says, popping the P, "I'm princess Rosalie! King Carslile and Queen Esme's daughter!" He furrows his eyebrows, then raises them, "Oh yeah! Hello," He chirps, "Why are you here then?" I ask, "I've run away too, nobody wants me at home," My jaw drops, "But I ran away because everyone DID want me too much!" I giggle, "We could live together, we can get married and live in this meadow," I tell him, he grins a dimpled grin at me, "Of course your Highness!" He laughs, being completely serious though, "So what's your name?" I ask, surprised he hasn't told me yet, "Emmett Mcarty, my Lady," He tells me, taking off his hat to reveal a mess of brown curls, "You can have my hat Princess Rosalie, instead of a ring...I can't afford it, after all, I am just a pauper," He places the hat on my head, "You're not a Pauper anymore, you're a prince now we're married," I smile at him, "You're pretty when you smile," I blush at him, "Thank you," There's a moment of silence, Emmett now takes my hand and pulls me up, "What are you doing?" I ask, curiosity getting the best of me, "You'll like it," He pulls me close to him, lifts me up and starts to spin us around at top speed, "ARGH!" I scream, a huge grin plastered across my face. We spin for what seems like hours and break away dizzy and laughing, "You're very fun Emmett," I compliment him, "I know," He tells me, I lay down on the floor, pulling him down with me. There's silence for a few minutes but it's broken by a thundering set of horse shoes thudding towards the meadow - they can't find me! Emmett needs to run, or they'll cut his head off! "Emmett run! They'll get you!" Panic rises in my voice, "But I can't leave you!" He shouts, "We can still be married - I'll keep your hat!" He shakes his head, "I'll come back next year on this day and see you then! Run!" He kisses me on my forehead quickly, "Goodbye Princess Rosalie," Is the last thing he says before running off into the distance.
