This is a story focused on Angela and Emmet. I borrowed the idea from FeralG3, who allowed me to write this with my poor English.
Please review after reading.
Prologue 谁比你重要
Angela's POV:
Mom said goodbye to me and left the house, humming some tune she loved for hundreds of years—I had been hearing it since I was a baby.
She wore a black skirt, the one she bought yesterday, which cost half of her wage this month. She went to a salon this afternoon and make a haircut. Maybe she even went as far as changing it a little redder. She always loves red, and she was rolling in a pair of red high heels before she stumbled and landed near the car.
I wanted to laugh, but I didn't dare to.
Mom was always the one who was too strict for a child, teenager. She could smile to those guys she meet (one of them was waiting for her today), but she never, had never gave a smile to me.
When she looks at me , she sees some dirt on her shoes.
I took out my mobile and texted Ben. I stared at his name on the screen, and a warmth stabbed into my heart.
The whole world was silenced, slowed, waiting for my angel to come.
Angela's angel.
I could even hear his Porsche parking in front of my house, and I rushed to the door.
Today would be my best birthday ever.
Ben's POV:
I had plenty of homework to do, and I had my own life. MY OWN LIFE.
I kissed the girl on my lap. Her eyes watering with some loveable glint.
And I had to go, now. I growled.
Putting on my jacket and picking up my phone, I scowled.
She patted my shoulder and gave me a little massage. She rubbed some soothing circles there, which are supposed to be soothing, but had me tensed there.
She had a magic to stick me with her all day. Hell.
I swore that I should have broken up with that bitch yesterday, when I met my darling for the first time.
'Darling, can't you tell her today?' She begged me. She begged me.
Definitely. I nodded my head.
My darling brighten up visibly, and that would be all the things I needed for the rest of my life.
I kissed her again and again, we were acting like someone in movies. She laughed at my stupidity and I laughed with her. She pushed me into the car and waved me goodbye,
My sweetheart would be waiting for me in home, and I drove quickly to meet the ex-girlfriend-to-be, and that ordeal.
I walked to the house and something hit me right in front of the door.
Angela's POV:
Ben went out of the car, he didn't look too happy for coming for my birthday, I meant, who would like a girl like me anyway?
Ben was every girl's dream. Pretty blue eyes, dark skin, broad shoulders, and his sense of humor.
He just stood there, and all girls fell for him, instantly,
I took a deep breath and threw myself into his arms
I didn't know whether he would like this, I hoped he would.
He came for me, after all.
He backed up, and I stuck to him. I wished, I prayed, for there to be the one glue to attach me to him for the rest of my life. Many would say I was crazy, and crazy I was.
I dragged him into the house and went through the corridor. I urged him to sit on the sofa, but he was quite annoyed of me asking him to do things. He wasn't the kind of guy for a lover to involve, he said something, and you just had to follow.
I guessed I didn't want that, but who can reject his charming face?
I passed him a cup of tea which he put on the table. His hands were sweating profusely, that was the case when he was so, so nervous.
He got nervous around me, his girlfriend.
What could he have planned to do? He knew I loved him, right?
God, he had me worry here.
Ben's POV:
The girl caught me off-guard, honestly. I hadn't expected her to be this pretty. Almost, I meant almost, like the girl waiting for me in home.
I pushed her away at the thought of my pumpkin, and regretted that immediately.
She might be angry of me pushing her away. It was her birthday after all. What a mess had I got myself into!
But pushing her away happened to be what I wanted, I assumed. I came her to say goodbye, for God's sake.
Before I noticed, I was sitting on the sofa, somehow near where she sat—just beside me. Closer than a inch, it seemed.
My mouth dried, and I licked my lips. My pants were tight, and my hands were sweating. For all those moment we were together, I hadn't been wanting this girl this strongly.
Her rosy lips, pale skin, bright eyes which were waiting for me to let them sparkle with pleasure.
I came to break up with a girl who had raised my interest to no end? The whole thing was a joke.
And without any reasons, we just fixed eyes at each other and kissed. The scent of her was overwhelming. That would be my undoing.
Angela's POV:
My angel kissed me! What a thrill!
I had thought he wouldn't when he turned out with that expression on his face. That must be caused by others.
At least he was happy to see me. Really happy.
I sank into the feeling of his lips on mine,
To be frank, I had thought this need to involve some alcohol. Fortunate enough, I had enough of his love for him to kiss me.
This would be the best birthday gift I'd ever received.
Ben's POV:
I was awoken by the text rings. How urgent could it be in the middle of the night.
I cursed myself for putting the little thing so close my pillow. And cursed again when I couldn't get up as an arm circled me in the middle.
I put it away, and picked up the phone, which had kept buzzing for the past hour or so.
There was a ton of message from Jessica.
