A/N: this one is a bit vague, I think, but I can't figure out how to make it clearer without going outside the 'busted' realm. I wrote this in november 2005, though I could have sworn it was younger, and still don't really know what to do with it, but I fixed it up slightly and now I actually kind of like it, so here it is. She shifted slightly, snuggling deeper into the warmth and felt the deep rumble of his voice vibrating through his chest, accompanied by a melodious laugh.

"You're really cold, aren't you?" A shrug was all the answer he received as she kept her face hidden safely against his solid frame. Strong arms came around her, driving away more of the chill. "Sleep, I'll stay awake." Her half-hearted protest was muffled against his chest, but it wasn't long before he could feel her drift away. He brushed a kiss on the top of her head and stroked her hair absent-mindedly as he stared into the vast plains of snow outside their cave. The blue twinkle of the transporters took away his view of the icy whiteness and replaced it with the inside of sickbay. The concerned faces of the Doctor and Tom came rushing at them and he quickly cautioned them to be silent.

"She's fine, just a bit cold." He whispered as both he and Kathryn were covered with blankets. "What happened?"

"Well," Tom started to answer while the Doc scanned both of them anyway, "you know the transporters were malfunctioning. Somehow they must have beamed you to that planet. B'E didn't even notice until she got them working again and then we immediately beamed you here. Sorry 'bout that."

"That's alright, Tom. But tell B'Elanna that next time we're transported off the ship, it would be 'cool' if the planet could be a bit warmer." Tom looked at his two senior officers, both dressed in pj's, and grinned.

"We'll take it under consideration."

"See to it that you do." Was Chakotay's curt reply. Tom slowly backed out of sickbay.

"Oh, and Chakotay? Congratulations." Chakotay smiled sourly at the retreating officer's back.

"Well, Kathryn," he muttered once the Doctor had returned to his office, "you did say you'd like to let the crew know about us…" He commented into his lover's hair as he tightened his embrace on her cold body.
