Haley James blew her fringed bangs out of her eyes as she zipped up the last of her suitcases. She could hardly believe she was doing this—it wasn't like her at all. But she supposed that was the whole point. She was bored. With life…with herself. She couldn't remember the last time she'd written a song…the last time she'd been inspired.
Not that this was going to solve all of her problems; she wasn't that naïve. But it would certainly give her a new perspective, some unique life experience.
When Taylor had suggested the idea, Haley had thought she was crazy. And while she still held that belief, she was willing to concede that her sister had been right—she needed to shake things up.
And in true Haley style…she'd give it everything she had.
Brooke Davis wasn't one to lie to herself. And she certainly wasn't someone who waited to see how things were going to unfold. She'd always been one to make things happen. And that's what this was about.
Her company was on the line—everything she'd worked her entire life for. What she needed was publicity, and she needed it fast.
