Don't ask where this came from I honestly don't know. And yes I understand that the Avatar world is NOT rooted in Christianity, if you have a problem with it get over it.

Also this is probably heavily influenced be "Noblesse Oblige" and "Prends Garde à Toi" both Vis-et-decus by both very awesome stories

On with the show!

Disclaimer: …

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea,hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruitof the trees of the garden:But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of thegarden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shallye touch it, lest ye die.And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then youreyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing goodand evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, andthat it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired tomake one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat

(Book of Genesis 003:001-003:006)

Of course in this story the serpent had legs and could talk, both ideas seemed absurd to Ty Lee that is, until she met Azula.

The princess's golden eyes always seemed to swirl with cunning and mystery. Burning with some untold secret truth that the acrobat was despite to know, but this was often shrouded by lies. When she would attempt to decipher truth from lie, she would lose herself to the golden pools, and then Azula would always smirk at her, with a sort of knowing conceit glimmering below the surface of her smile. Whispering how good it was to know the truth, and tempting her to find out for herself.

Then a strong arm would wrap around her waist and pull her into the prodigy, although at times the young acrobat was sure she felt something infinitely more coiled and powerful then muscle hidden beneath warm royal skin and soft silks. At these times she would wonder if the princess didn't manipulate fire simply as her element, but as her source of heat as well.

When she was pulled in so close Azula's lips would be a mere inch from her own. Tempting her to close the gap and press her lips to those of the one so close to her to take and enjoy the fruit of knowledge, and know, without a doubt what that hidden truth was. She knew somehow that this would give her answer, give her that hidden truth. She could feel the arm on her waist constrict, tightening and pulling her deeper into temptation, yet somehow she knew that this "hidden truth" would lead her into a much darker world, one that she was unsure whether she would be dragged to hell, or soar above heaven.

The day she gave in to temptation she was still unsure which path she was headed. Her lungs constricted, being crushed by powerful coils that squeezed until all the air had left her, only to release long enough for it to return, before forcing it from her yet again.

It was then Ty Lee understood the story. It was not a serpent that tempted the first humans. It was a dragon.
