Camera set in a dim living room of the Conners house. Dan Conner voice is heard.
DAN C.: Rosie, Rosie wake up...(louder)Roseanne! Hun wake up!
The camera follows as Dan rushes to the kitchen telephone and dials 911.
DAN C.: My wife isn't waking up. I dont know if she's breathing. Shes unresponsive and her skin is blotchy. Chest compressions? ...I will, Are you sending an ambulance? Ok.
Dan runs back into the bedroom. The camera stays in the living room. Darlene comes down the stairs as red and blue lights filter through the curtains. Dan rushes to the front door at the sound of the sirens.
DARLENE C.: Dad, why is there an ambulance and cops outside?
Dan's eyes are frentic. He opens the door to usher emergency personnel in.
DAN C. Your mom isn't right...
DARLENE C. She always thinks she's right. Even when she's wrong. *grin*
DAN C.: No, she's not waking up.
DARLENE C.: ... what. Throw water on her.
DAN C.: It's more serious then that.
Dan looks away and stares off. Mark comes down the stairs.
MARK H.: What's with all the flashing lights, Mom?
DARLENE C.: Sweety, Grandma sick. She needs to go to the hospital.
A paramedic comes out of the bedroom and motions for Dan to come to the kitchen. Dan goes over and talks to the paramedic. As the camera shows Darlene, holding on to her son with worry on her face. She hears her father guttural intake of breathe, cry out and the kitchen table flipped over with a crash.
