In an AU where Clarissa "Clary" Fray is a simple high school student who has a knack for getting kicked out of them, what happens when she meets the mysterious Lightwood family, who have odd tattoos and dark clothes that confuse Clary, whom soon befriends them. However, when they kidnap her and things go awry, will she escape, or learn things about herself she never knew?

Story Explanation:

This story is an AU, essentially about Clary and Jace, and their complicated romance. Essentially, there is no Idris, or Shadowhunters, though there is something odd about the Lightwoods, who are the only family Jace knows. Will Calry find out, or will bad things happen first?

Short story explanation, but constructive criticism and thoughts, as well as opinions and suggestions, are completely welcome.

For anyone who is wondering, my other fanfiction story A Better Start is still in-progress. Unfortunately, school finals kicked me in the behind, and things kind of went bad after that. I do apologize, but I'm not currently sure if I will be continuing ABS or not.
