It's been quite a long time since they've had a moment alone, just the two of them. Ever since they adopted Jo, things have been a bit hectic. And so, when Sam arrives on their doorstep and Dean shoves a handful of babysitting money into his chest, Castiel isn't altogether surprised.
Dean drives the Impala out of town, to a place closed off from the rest of the world, and parks in the middle of the road. He turns to the passenger's seat, but before he can say anything, Cas is out, walking to sit on the hood of the car. Dean follows, grabbing his hand as he leans against his shoulder. They sit in silence for a moment, simply enjoying being alone together. Then Castiel turns to plant a kiss on Dean's forehead, and Dean can feel the words vibrate through his temple as Cas murmurs, "I love you."
Dean says nothing, only moves to press his lip's against Castiel's, and Cas doesn't mind, because he knows how hard it is for Dean to say what he's truly feeling. And because all he can think about at the moment is Dean's lips on his, Dean's tongue in his mouth, Dean's hand pulling at his hips. He grips the bottom edge of Dean's shirt tightly and breaks the kiss for a brief moment to pull it swiftly over his head. Dean's mouth latches on to a spot on Castiel's neck, just before his skin disappears behind the collar of his shirt, and Cas lets out a groan, reaching for the button of Dean's pants. As Dean leans away for a moment to remove Castiel's tie, he pushes him down gently, until his back is flat against the hood of the Impala.
