Hikari remembers the first time she slapped someone, her best friend on the verge of breaking down. She remembers feeling something inside snap and she just wanted Miyako to stop and think. The slap happened before Hikari could stop herself, but the action brought them closer together. Hikari learned then that her boundaries with MIyako stretch further than she can see.
They stretch further than she ever expected them to, she realizes, standing shoulder to shoulder with her best friend, fingers twitching with the desire to hurt something. Twitching with the desire to hurt the person hurting her friends.
The last time Hikari hit someone, it was to save her from herself. The next time, she predicted, will be for the satisfaction of that violent red mark.
