A Big Brother Like You

A One-Shot by Kimberly Adams

This is the very first one-shot I'm posting, but not the first I have written. I have a Harry-Ginny one-shot too, and it's about them reflecting on their amazing kids. Lemme know if you want me to post it! Here goes!

Albus Severus Potter was having a terrible dream. He couldn't stand any of it. He woke up, screaming and yelling and thrashing.

"Al?" Albus' brother, James Sirius Potter was standing near the door, looking concerned.

"James!" Albus cried and lunged into James' arms.

"Did you have another bad dream?" James asked, smoothing down Albus' hair.

Albus nodded.

"None of it is real," James said, lying next to Albus on his bed. "It's alright."

Albus smiled before drifting back off to sleep.

Meanwhile, though, Ginny Potter had finally finished getting her six-year-old daughter, Lily Luna Potter, to bed. As she was making her way back to her own room, she noticed her oldest son's door was swung wide open. She stepped inside, worried and concerned. James was not in his bed. Panic filled her insides. Was James kidnapped?

She ran and fast as she could to Albus' room, still panicked and scared.

When she entered, though, she smiled and heaved a sigh of relief.

James had his arm around Albus, who was sleeping snugly on James' shoulder. A ghost of a smile was on Albus' lips, Ginny noticed.

Ginny had never expected this. James and Albus teased each other most frequently, and that led to fights – but deep, deep down, Ginny knew they loved each other, even though they would never admit it.

Ginny smiled as she snugly fit the duvet on top of both of them, kissed their foreheads, and walked out of the room, shutting the door quietly behind her.

That was that! Did you like it?

And YES, I HAVE seen another one-shot like this before, but it was fairly different.

I've been searching all over the HP-Next-Generation-Stories-Collections and I've found that there are not many James S. Potter stories on here, so I'm writing one! James is also my most favourite Next-Gen character, to be honest.

Anyway, see you soon!
