Hi! I've recently renewed my AATC obsession so I figured I would write a one-shot for my favorite couple. Simonette! Okay well read and review please! Thanks! ~~foreverafangirl13

Simon sighed. Getting to sleep would be impossible. He would be a zombie tomorrow, even more likely to make a fool of himself in front of her than usual. Her. Jeanette. Her name in his head was beautiful, like an exotic fruit in his own blissful paradise. But that didn't mean that she knew that. And it certainly didn't mean they were dating. Oh, no. He would never be that brave, would never ever gather the courage to tell her how he felt. And why not? It wasn't just the fear of rejection holding him back, but that he would lose everything he held dear, their friends and his best friend. And for him, that was too valuable to risk.

He jerked upright, suddenly, caught out of his revelry by a light tapping on the window. By the luminescent moonlight, he saw none other than Brittany Miller, up a tree, banging impatiently on his windowsill. What? He immediately opened it, glancing both ways to make sure neither of his brothers were awake to witness this.

Once it was opened, Brittany rolled her crystal eyes (AN get it? Crystal eyes, crystallized? No okay...) and smirked at him. "Took you long enough. I saw you laying there like a lazy lump for ten minutes!"

Ten minutes? That was about when he was thinking of Jeanette... "Well hello to you too, and might I ask why you are outside our window at-" he paused to look over at his clock, "one in the morning?"

Brittany just laughed. "Simon, just go downstairs and meet me outside in this tree." And with that she was gone, all trace of her presence cleared except for the open window. And of course, Simon staring confusedly at thin air.

Does she honestly believe I'm going to sneak out of my house just to listen to her babble on? Well, yes...because truthfully, he was curious. What on earth could she want?

Jeanette lay restlessly in bed, tossing and turning. Unable to sleep, things on her mind. Well, not a thing. A certain bespectacled chipmunk in blue. Simon. Why did he have to invade her mind? Simple-because she was in love. With him. Definitely not the other way around. Which, if she admitted it, was all she could ever hope for. So, despite reluctance to admit it, hope she did.

She sighed, and then she turned to the other beds, hoping one of her sisters was awake, and willing to listen to her vent about her sorry love life. As she did so, she saw two things: a sweetly sleeping Eleanor, and...an empty bed that belonged to Brittany.

Wait just a second. Empty? She leapt out of bed, shoving her glasses on to properly check, and upon examining the pink bedspread and sheets, she came to the same startling conclusion. Her annoying, bossy, loveable, older sister, was in fact, missing.
