A/n- ok so I hope u like it!
Laurant approached me and bit my neck. I was burning. Fire engulfed me everywhere, I felt like I was slowly burning. In a day I would be ashes. I managed not to scream. I have gone through the same type of pain before. When He left me. I was in so much pain; I didn't notice the too warm arms carrying me through the forest, and into the small red house that I couldn't recognize because of the fire…
Three days later, I woke up, fully aware of my surroundings.
"Bella!" Jacob called
I smelt him. He smelled like… you don't want to know.
"Jake?" I said, gasping at how I sounded. My voice sounded like wind chimes, it was as smooth as… as his voice.
"I'm a vampire now, aren't I?" I said
"Yup," He said, not the least bit cheerful. Then he explained what happened. He was a werewolf, only phasing when he is extremely upset or angry. The pack caught the scent of Laurant and immediately ran to the meadow and got him off of me and killed him. Jake carried me to his house, and waited till I was done changing.
"Jacob… I have to fake my death, don't I?" I said, growing wary.
"Already done," He said "Everybody except the tribe thinks that the mutant bear killed you. Your blood in the meadow is 'evidence'" he said
"Oh," I said "Where do I go? Where do I stay?" I tried to remember anything in my human life that would help me. My memories were too painful and blurry to be of use.
"You might want to talk to Sam about that," He told me unhappily " He will know what's best."
"When can I meet him?" I asked
"You might want to go hunting and you will smell him in an hour." He said, not the least bit happy on the hunting part, even though it was animals.
"Thank you," I said sincerely, "I guess I'll see you later."
"See ya." He said glumly
I went to the woods not far from his house. I immediately caught the scent of deer. I chased after it. I found a herd of them, drinking water at a puddle. I got closer and jumped on its back. I bit its throat and drank. I immediately satisfied. The blood tasted so thick, so rich. I felt as if I could never get enough.
After drinking three, I smelt a wet dog smell. It smelled like a dog who has played in the mud all day, with a mixture of crap.
I followed his scent. I found Sam near a lake.
"Hello." I said
"Hello, Bella." He said, "I see that your change was successful. I don't know where to take you, but go anywhere with a forest and no sun. Try north Canada." He suggested.
"Thank you." I said sincerely, " I'll go immediately.
He nodded and ran off, which gave me some time to think. I don't know why, but I had a feeling I should go to Edward's *wince* house. I ran there, not thinking.
I saw the majestic house and opened the door. I smelled the scent of the Cullen's. It was so faint, but it was still there. I walked up the halls and the stairs. Where Edward first played my lullaby, where Emmett would joke around, where Alice would dance and tell the future, and where Jasper would stay away from me for safety. I went to the piano, embracing the painful memories. I ran to Edward's room, trying to remember the wonderful memories. So beautiful, so painful, I tried to remember the most that I could. Their beautiful faces, their voice, everything.
I sighed. Time to let those memories go…
I ran to Canada.
