My soul
Don't you know,
when you're here, I can't breathe,
I could run a marathon,
I would scale a mountainside,
your presence stirs me.
My eyes are opened,
and I realise I've lived a lie.
Everything is nothing,
a rainbow is naught but gray,
and a nightengale's song is a screech.
Nothing could compare to you.
When you smile at me, I feel as if I could fly,
I am so light, a feather would blow me away.
When you laugh, I can't speak,
my muscles are liquid, I can't move.
When you touch me, my heart freezes,
I can't think, you overwhelm me.
But now you walk away,
your smile, your laughh, your touch,
it has departed from me.
And now I realise,
I am empty without you,
you are my soul,
you are my lifeblood,
without you, I do not live.
