A/N Just something I thought of in Science(Way more interesting than the Periodic Table)

"Sir, do you have a minute?" Samantha Carter questioned , standing just outside her CO's doorway. Rolling his eyes, Jack O'Niell gestured for his 2IC to enter.

"Carter, how many times are we going to go over this?" Jack responded as he switched off his Gameboy. Sam just looked at him with a confused look on her face. Jack leaned back slowly, " Carter, I barge into your office everyday without asking, you have permission to do the same thing."

Sam just smiled nervously, shifting her weight from one foot to another, before answering,

"General, I wanted to ask you for a personal favor. Since Peter found out about what I really do, he's been bugging me to let him meet the members of SG-1, past and present...dead or alive. At least, he wants tomeetyou guysoutside of work, when you guys don't have guns or anything...not that you need any..." Carter explained quickly, before adding a belated, "Sir"

"Okay", Jack responded, genuinely confused, although that wasn't say much. Apparently, Carter took that as permission to continue. " So anyway, Sir, I'm going to have a dinner party, really casual." Slowly, Jack realizedwhat she was talking about."Sounds...fun...When is it"

Grimacing, Sam answered sheepishly, "This Saturday. Teal'c and Daniel already said they could make it, and Jonas is coming for a visit tomorrow, so the only person left is you, Sir"

Jack nodded absently, racking his brain for an excuse to not be able to make it. "Why am I just finding out about this now?" Sam shrugged, "Well, Sir, I was going to ask you a week and a half age, but Daniel said that would give you too much time to think of an excuse not to come."

Silently scheming of ways to get back at Daniel, Jack propped his feet up on his desk and asked Carter yet another question. "So, anything I should bring?"

"Chips, Sir," Sam readily replied as she backed slowly out of his office. "And don't forget the salsa." with that last remark she was gone. Picking up his Gameboy once more Jack announced to his office loudly, "Saturday is going to suck."
