In the night, I lay here in solitude,
silent tears flow down my cheeks,
I lie here waiting for you,
waiting for you to come to me.
To touch my cheek,
to smile and say you're sorry,
for leaving me alone so long,
I want to see your eyes,
I want to feel your lips,
I want to hold you close.
I lie in the silence of the night,
I'm weeping, waiting for you.
I knew you'd come for me,
I knew you'd hold me close,
but you're not here,
you'll never come,
I'm all alone.
You were never there,
and I never lived.
