Darkness.

That's the last thing I remember.

It was cold, and it was dark.

And I was scared.

No light of the moon shone upon me, lighting my path this time. There was no place for moonlight to shine through in this cold place, where the cages that hung above my head were filled with the twittering please of the minifairies. I could hear them beating frantically against the metal, trying to get out, trying to help.

There was no help for me now.

I could feel the odd warmth in my stomach, and the wetness just confirmed that I was bleeding, and that there was a lot of blood. Too much blood. It was why I couldn't seem to keep my eyes open. Everything around me was so blurry and dark...

"Frostbite!" I flinched at the echoing sound.

"Frostbite, where are you!?" Why did that voice sound so familiar?

I silently called back, hoping to be found by this familiar person so I could see their face and figure out who they were. Maybe, even, I would be able to survive long enough to see them more than once. I looked up weakly when I saw those large ears.

Then all I saw...

was darkness...
