Animal Kingdom
Jude skittered around nervously amongst the leather sofas in the lobby of G Major. If her ears held the powers, they'd be standing straight up, feet stamping in a warning call for all those like her for miles around. She scampered from coffee to banister to other rolling heathers, all the while expecting the wrath of Frith himself.
Tommy watched her from his high limbs, smiling cheekily while munching innocently on a half-green banana. She normally wasn't so uptight about her work, but seeing as this was the week after her sophomore album release date and considering the slump that always seemed to proceed such a title, he could understand her nervousness. He swung his leg over the railing before jumping the second level drop.
Darius huffed and puffed, the wool of his suit only exacerbating his itchy & uncomfortable position. He let fly a few "bah's" and multiple curse words as he awaited the end-of-the-week report to come in about sales. This would make or break his leading artist and if he had it his way, she'd be gone from the flock if the stats weren't up to expectations.
Kwest hopped and bound through the door, announcing the arrival of said reports. Everyone gathered around him expectantly, Kwest always the calm one as he smoothly pulled the folded papers from his back pocket. His eyes scanned the fax briefly, before grinning like a Cheshire cat.
"Jude Harrison... week one... status..."
Jude looked around, nearly scared to death.
"Out with it, Kwest!"
Tommy chuckled an "eek" at her outburst while Darius let go of another guttural "bah".
"Platinum. 1.7 million sold."
Jude jumped up and down, grabbing onto Tommy's arm and spinning him around in her ecstasy moment. Darius let out a slight cheer, snatching the paper from Kwest's paws. Kwest joined in on the celebration, nearly boxing Tommy in the nose in his exuberance. Tommy just continued his chimp grinning, and gave his congratulations where they were due.
