I scowled and crossed my arms, a large blush spread across my face. It was so humiliating. Lyra had made me try on her home made Pokemon costumes her again, this time putting me in a Skitty outfit. I never thought having to look in the mirror would be the most embarrassing thing in the world.
Lyra skipped out of her room wearing a Sunflora outfit, an uncharacteristic cherubic smile on her usual eccentric and tomboyish face. I felt my blush spread.
"This fits perfectly! What do you think, Petals?"
"Chiko!" her Pokemon chirped merrily.
It was rare that I see Lyra acting like a normal ten-year-old girl. She seemed so happy, innocent, and calm. Something that I don't ever see from her on the battle field. I liked seeing her this way, it was something different and refreshing.
The brunette looked up at me. With a glint of happiness in her eyes, she violently wrapped her arms around me, rubbing her face against mine.
"You look so cute in that, Silver!"
"I thought we agreed never to call me 'cute,' or 'adorable,'" I said with a scowl.
"This proves that I'm a good designer! If someone like you looks good in my clothes, then anyone will!"
"Oh, very funny, pig-tails."
"Thanks for trying it on!" She pulled out a Butterfree costume from the closet. "Now, let's see if this looks any good on you!"
"I am not wearing that," I growled. "I already look stupid enough as it is."
"Come on, Silver, it's not like it's gonna kill you or anything," Lyra responded with a pout. "We're alone in my room with the door closed, anyway. It's not like anyone's gonna see us."
"That doesn't make it any less embarrassing!" I yelled. "Why do you always make me try on your stupid costumes, anyway? No one's gonna buy them, we're just wasting our time."
"Hmp." She turned her head from me and headed towards the door. "If you don't wanna help, then I can go ask Ethan to do it instead."
"Uh, w-wait," I said slowly. Lyra stopped and looked back at me, still pouting. I averted my narrowed eyes to the wall, a light blush on my cheeks. "I-it's not like I'm enjoying this or anything. But I don't want you torturing anybody else, so I'm staying."
A smile replaced her frown as she jumped up to hug me, squealing.
"Thank you, Silver! Now put this on, please!"
It was kinda embarrassing. But, it's not every day you see Lyra so happy. I guess dressing like a lunatic is worth it just to see that beautiful smile.
