Her laugh echoed through the room, though she stood nowhere. It was the ghost of her laugh, the ghost of her happiness. She left; the only thing left was the smell of her perfume. Serena Rhys was gone and never coming back. Her body laid six feet beneath the ground, rotting each sorrowful day under her grave where her boyfriend Alexander put flowers every day. Nobody from her family would talk to him and his family did the best they could to console him but it never worked. He was broken and needed a miracle to save him.
It wasn't until the two-year anniversary of Serena's death that someone close to Serena finally spoke to him. It was her sister, Violet Rhys, who looked almost like Serena yet unlike her sister Violet had the green eyes. Here he sat at Serena's grave when he heard a pair of feet walk across the tall grass. His eyes lifted to see Violet, she had changed so much in the past two years after Serena passed away and it was evident. She had let her bronze hair grow to her waist but dyed it black and her nose contained a piercing along with her lip. Her usual bright assemble was now traded for a dark all-black wardrobe and instead of vans she wore combat boots. Violet had taken the biggest hit when Serena passed away; they were the closest of sisters and best friends. She sat down next to Alexander on the grass, no emotion evident in her face. After moments of silence she said in a low velvety voice, "You still come here?" he nodded in answer. How could he not come here? After all, he had loved Serena with all his heart. She sighed and said, "My parents said I should not talk to you but I knew I had to." He looked at her in confusion and said, "Why?" She looked into the sunset, her green eyes sparkling with new tears as she said, "Answers. I want answers." He sighed also and stood, leaning up against Serena's gravestone. "What answers am I supposed to give you? I don't know what you want." Her eyes then swept to his face and she said, "You know what I'm talking about Alexander." He turned his back to her as tears gathered in his eyes as he stayed in silence. Violet stood up and walked to his side as she said with evident emotion, "Tell me what happened that night. Tell me why my sister is dead."
