The Walking Dead: Season 5: Episode 2

Chapter 2:

I look away from the kid and start to focus on the tether. I throw it away and start hitting it. I then see a group of boys heading towards me & no the greasy haired boy was not among them. I try to ignore them, but they look vicious (as vicious as a 12 year old can look) and ready to fight. I always steered clear of bullies or people I disliked. I knew they were not worth my precious time. So when I see kids like them approach me I automatically get worried and start to panic. Hoping they don't kick my ass in a fight that I had no business being in.

The group finally gets to me and stands on the other side of the tether ball pole. They are whispering something that I cannot understand. All I heard was "hit" and I panicked. I ran to the swing set on the other side of the playground. As I run, my hair being thrown all over by the wind, sweat starting from my forehead and running down my cheek, I turn around and see the group of boys running after me. I look forward and "SMACK"! I run into the greasy haired kid. Knocking him off his feet and onto the concrete. My only friend in the entire school, Maggie runs to my side. Frantically asking "Nics! Are you alright?! Do I need to get Mrs. Kesler?" She looks up at the boys and slowly backs away and she is now behind me and the greaser.

The leader of the group of boys, Shane is now standing over me and the greaser (Yes I am on top of him and YES it was awkward as hell) and said, "Aww look at Nicolette! Already jumping on the boys as usual! When will you ever learn to stay away from boys Nicolette? They have already caused you enough trouble!". Now at this point, I had no clue what Shane was talking about. I have never EVER interacted with boys in school. Always outside of school. In school I thought I was a ghost because nobody ever looked at me or talked to me besides Maggie.

I was as silent as a snail and as slow as one. I didn't move, and when I finally jumped back into reality all I did was slowly glance up at the boys. I was clueless. I had never been in a situation like this before. I cautiously climbed off the greaser, apologizing for running into him. He didn't say anything and just kept his eyes on Shane.
