A not-so-little girl

Isn't in her bed

And so it unfurls

That little girl's wed

There's nothing to discuss

As a sneaky bastard grins

And so it is thus

Our story begins

---

'Tis nothing left to say

His little girl's grown

Something he's kept at bay

But now he's all alone

She wants him she claims

And his heart turns to frost

She takes all the blames

He knows he's finally lost

---

Another golden diamond ring

For the pretty girl's finger

But that's just the thing

The words never linger

Never do they reach her ear

For all of the treasure

Seem to disappear

Without any good measure

A sneaky, sly man,

Deceitful at best,

Has a master plan

And a gold-filled chest

---

What is this display

A public show of affection

But he was simply raised that way

'Tis excessive inspection

---

His decision had reason

But all reason's lost

When in this season

It comes with a cost

He let down his guard

And gave into pressure

His image now scarred

For intentions unsure

Two have been hurt

In this drunken state

His sword did assert

He'd taken the bait

---

Of course he has heard

Of the drunken brawl

Image now obscured

Sash in recall

---

Honest and true he is called

But no one really sees

Truth, they'd be appalled

And regard him with unease

He continues his scheming

Without any pause

His dagger is gleaming

Without a just cause

---

If not for the talk

He would regain his post

He handled this block

Better than most

---

She has been untrue

Says the loyal man

Ideas askew

Just part of the plan

His honor is soiled

Or so he thinks

Schemes still unspoiled

Strong are the links

---

A token of love

Or so he thought

But in another's glove

Of love he thinks not

---

His proof is now clear

And so his heart shatters

Pierced with a spear

And on the floor clatters

It all is too much

His health is at stake

He cannot be touched

While he trembles and shakes

---

She has been struck

She lets loose a tear

And yet by some luck

She knows her time is near

---

And so it begins

A fateful night

Nobody wins

In that pointless fight

Anger and greed

Pushes men to their wits

Three men do bleed

And Cassio sits

---

Dead and betrayed

He was only a pawn

Broken and played

His fortune is gone

---

Jealousy consumes him

And he takes a life

His thoughts are all grim

As he murders his wife

---

She knows she played a part

Guilt overwhelms her

Then dies with a broken heart

By her husband's dagger

A marriage never made to last

Has finally seen its end

Any love there has now passed

As she leaves to join her friend

---

Now it makes sense

Liars are exposed

And lives the expense

Secrets disclosed

Loyal and true

Have proven hollow

Can't start anew

While others still follow

---

Consumed by his grief

He makes one last choice

The pain becomes brief

'Tis gone, another voice

And thus our story ends

With the death of a Moore

A message transcends

Through the death count of four

An idea so crude

More painful than sin

So to ruin the mood

Good doesn't always win
