He hoped she saw how beautiful the stars looked tonight.

He hoped she remembered that the stars reminded him of her, reminded him of them; her the sole light making whatever darkness that was him complete.

He hoped she knew that it was beautiful.

Because he knew that it was.

But tonight he was half, just watching the skies at the balcony of Malfoy's Manor. He wondered if the stars would have looked the same back in Mystic Falls.

Were they as beautiful as they were from the other side of the world?

He couldn't take it any longer. He apparated.

A shriek was heard from downstairs, sounds of falling plates all over on the floor.

"Mum?" Caroline's eyes widened with shock at the sight before her.

Instead of her mother, she saw the same boy that had been occupying her thoughts all day; his hair a mess and an apologetic expression bore on his face.

"Sorry about the plates, Liz." Draco mumbled sheepishly to the Sheriff before finally greeting his beau. "Hey, Caroline."

"I saw the stars and they kinda reminded me of you. I missed you and so-" His words got cut off.

He needn't say further for the girl had embraced him into a tight hug, burying her face into his chest as she sobbed softly.

"Silly boy. I saw them too."

And at that moment, Draco was positive that the stars had lacked in beauty as compared to his beautiful star now cradled in his arms.
