In a moment's time

It was the year of 1941. Two years had passed since the bombing of Himmel Street. Times had changed as well the people. Liesel had gone through a lot of issues and had been affected deeply by the loss of her mama, papa and friends. But most of all, she mourned for her best friend, the boy with the lemon-colored hair. As she went to school, and got along with her friends, her heart yearned for something, for love and for the past. As for today, it was a sunny day, as dawn broke over the windowsills in her room. Liesel woke up with an ease, and bathed and changed. As she got ready to school, she said the thoughts in her head everyday as she did. These were,"May something great happen today, and will my utmost desire be fulfilled."

I had watched Liesel change from the fragments of a broken heart, acquire a newly formed shell of solidity and ridgeness of a shy,yet bold maiden. Her face had become more softer and rosy, acquiring the assets of a young woman. Her hair reached her hips, and she had grown a couple of inches. Her heart longed for a young man who would be with her,and enjoy with, for who could understand the stemming of childhood love?

It was going to be another day, another 24 hours. Liesel was on the edge of the stairway when she heard a noise. The door opened and the window curtains were fluttering. It was incredibly cold and there he was. A silhouette of a figure with an upright arms and strong legs. It was when she saw the yellow tufts of hair that Liesel stumbled in shock. She starred at him, and then in the midst of it all she moved forward a few steps and punched him in his chest, until she couldn't manage it anymore. Rudy just stood there in amazement. He took her fingers and grazed her face. A tear broke from Liesel's eye.

Suddenly, rather in a highly inappropriate fashion, Liesel jumped and wrapped her legs aroung Rudy, before burying her head in his shoulder. He could feel the hot tears wetting his collar and the sobs that wracked her fame

He carried her like that up the stairs,as Liesel was all over him and his face attempting to reconnect with him in a matter of a few minutes. tending to Rudy's sweat and blood. She wrapped a towel around and drab-kissed him on his two ears, and providing a towel around him for comfort. suddenly a sob came from her ,and she attempted to comfort rudy, but ended up being the one who needed comfort.

Entwined in each others arms, I saw them wide awake and staring at the moonlight.
