Jack was having a peaceful day, well as peaceful as Torchwood gets, which isn't very peaceful at all. Either way the rift was quiet and all his employees were happily working away at their stations. Well they were until...
"OWEN!"
Now Jack may have been startled by this but it didn't stop him from knowing who those beautiful welsh vowels belonged to.
'What did Owen do to annoy Ianto now?' Jack wondered as he got up out his chair and went to try and stop his two friends killing each other over some probably stupid issue. Not that Ianto was stupid, rather it was some issue that Owen made and Ianto was rightfully annoyed with.
As he opened the door and walked out onto the raised walkway, he looked down at the hub below and saw that Ianto and Owen were already yelling at each other.
"My name is Ianto! Not Lanto!"
"Well it's not my fault that the first letter of your name looks like a lower case l!"
"No, but names start with a capital, you should've easily been able to guess that it was an I! Anyone that had any form of education should be able to tell!"
"Well maybe if you didn't make me do paperwork you wouldn't have to worry about it."
"It's your bloody paperwork!"
"And you're the bloody tea boy! It's your job to do all this shit so the rest of us don't have to!"
It was at this point that Jack decided to step in, Owen had taken it a step too far and Jack was worried that Ianto may lash out at the ignorant Doctor.
"Guys! Calm down, Owen retype your paper work. Ianto shred the other pieces and make us some coffee." Jack said, trying to be diplomatic.
Ianto just stood and glared at Jack as Owen walked off to do the paperwork muttering something about 'favouritism' and 'bloody tea boys'.
Jack looked back at Ianto trying to figure out what he'd done wrong, Ianto just looked at him with a raised eyebrow and his arms folded. Oh!
"Please Ianto." Jack tried, trying to see if that was what had annoyed his friend.
Ianto half-smiled, nodded and walked off as Jack went back to his office to try and calm the headache that the argument had caused.
'After all,' he thought 'My team is wonderful when we're out on the field but on days where nothing is happening, it's like dealing with a group of children!'
Ianto walked in and placed Jack's coffee on his desk before leaving again as Jack watched him walk out (read: watched his ass as he walked out).
'Well, maybe I can't think of them all as children then,' Jack mused, 'but at least I get to help look after them with a gorgeous man by my side.'
Jack smiled at this as his thoughts were full of his loyal Welshman, yes Torchwood was crazy but worth it in the end, especially when Ianto was around.
A/N: This came from a mis-reading by one of my friends and I decided to turn it into this, it's random but then again most of my stuff is. Hope you enjoyed it, please leave a review and let me know what you think.
