Ginny's Perfect Day
Summary: HBP spoilers – The Kiss from Ginny's POV.

Chapter 1 – The Kiss
The Gryffindor common room was filled to capacity following their quidditch team's victory over Ravenclaw. Everyone seemed excited except for one. Despite her skillful grab of the snitch right in front of Cho Chang right when Gryffindor was ahead by enough points to win the cup, Ginny Weasley just wasn't happy. For the second year in a row she had to play seeker in place of her longtime crush, and Gryffindor quidditch captain, Harry Potter, this time because Professor Snape had given him detention.
"Of course if I were playing keeper we would have won by a lot more. I don't know why everyone is making such a big deal about that Weasley." Ginny heard McClaggan tell his Seventh year friends.
With a roll of her eyes, Ginny turned around and saw Hermione flirting with her brother Ron, whom was still holding the cup. Ginny found her mouth beginning to smile at this development until her eyes came upon the angry face of her ex boyfriend Dean Thomas.
Ginny next found her fellow regular chaser, Katie Bell, and started talking about the match. Katie was very excited since it was her last ever quidditch match at Hogwarts.
After a minute of talking, Ginny heard Ron shot "We won! We won! Four Hundred and Fifty to One Hundred and Forty! We won!"
Ginny turned towards the portrait hole and noticed a tired looking Harry. Without even thinking, Ginny ran towards Harry to give him a big hug.
To Ginny's surprise, Harry moved his lips to hers and delivered a deep kiss. After recovering from the shock from receiving something she had long dreamed about getting, but never expected, Ginny returned the kiss.
After a time that seemed like an eternity during which not even the sound of a broken glass could distract them, the kiss was broken. Harry took a long glance around the room and then the two of them wordlessly headed towards the portrait hole on the way to a long walk and talk on the grounds.
Ginny's day was definitely looking up.
