Alright! I have challenged Panda8785 to a little competition. :)... No, it's not bad. We used to do this every year where we'd read a holiday based writing and have our friends vote for the better. We've always been competitive, don't worry. Challenge: write a holiday based oneshot and post at at least midnight (mountain time) Christmas Day. The one that gets the most favorites wins (Please read other one before deciding)! Neither of us are seeing each other's work, therefore not knowing what the other's story is about (reducing chances of cheating). So, I hope you enjoy!
Holidays were one of few day where anyone could get a day off in Freelancer... well, at least for those who were religious, but some people often pretend just to get the day off. It is because of this why we are able to see the rare occurrence of Carolina and York, sitting by the "fire" on the t.v. as they exchanged eskimo kissed and drank hot chocolate as they sucked on peppermint sticks. They had a shared blanket draped over their shoulders in order to stay warm from the cold walls of the Mother of Invention.
"Hey." York spoke up as Carolina opened up her still hopeful eyes, "Have I ever told you that I love you?"
"Of course you have." Carolina laughed as she leaned onto his shoulder, "And I love you too." She said, nearly breathlessly.
"Well, that's good to hear." He gave off a short but comforting laughed and put his hand of her head running his fingers through her blood-red hair as she snuggled up closer to him.
And throughout that day, they were found by multiple people; asleep in that very adorable position, undisturbed.
