"Mother."

"Mother!"

"Yes."

"Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill."

"Cut. Hug. Cut. Kill. Hug. Cut. Hug."

These words rang through her head, every day, every hour, every minute, every second. It was horrible, but she didn't feel as lonely. With her blade, Saika, she felt like she had someone with her constantly.

Even if the one she was with wanted to kill and 'love' everyone. Sometimes, Anri would follow through with those urges, sometimes cut people to control them. She hated it, but she knew she wasn't capable of love.

Right?

Curling up in a ball, she glanced around the darkness of her small room, her eyes turning a bright crimson as she stood up, Saika unsheathing. The shy, small girl had heard footsteps and her doorknob rattle.

"Let me love them for you!"

"N-No," she breathed, her eyes wide as she slowly walked, her eyesight poor without her glasses.

"Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill!"

No, she screamed in her mind, walking even closer towards the door, still seeing the doorknob move with each try.

"It's no use, it's locked up."

"Dammit!"

Anri froze, hearing the two voices behind the door. The voices continued to fight.

"Let's just try the next one," one of the men said.

"Yeah."

The girl let out a quiet sigh of relief.

Sheathing her blade, she smiled weakly, practically crawling back to her bed. Other than Saika, that was something calling out to her.

"You didn't let me love them."

"Another day," she muttered out loud before her eyes closed, trapping her in a world of darkness called sleep.
