THE SILENCE

Bip-bip-bip-bip-biiiippp"

7:05 am

The pink colored box started to irritate Kuchiki Rukia's mind too early in the the morning. She blew a curse under her blanket and threw the clock at the wall. The "bip-bip" sound immediately quit as the box broke into pieces.

"Stupid clock," said Rukia and started to put on her school uniform. She looked back at her reflection in the mirror. Her pitch-black hair was a mess as usual and her icy blue eyes were sparkling, yet was a long way from her perfection. Tossing her bag on her shoulders, she went downstairs and yelled to her "sweet" family: "I am out."

Nobody answered.

Rukia closed the door to feel fresh air.

She put on her headphones and turned on her favourite song "Diary of Jane". Music was refreshing her mind, soul and creepy nightmares that she saw everynight.

Kuchiki Rukia was a normal girl –or normal as seen from the outside-. She had a warm attitude towards others; but she had few best friends. She was mostly the observant type and tried to help anybody she could. Though her tomboyish personality disturbed many girls who claimed to be beautiful; she was generally loved in her circle of friends.

But like everybody she had a secret.

A secret she couldn't share with anyone. A secret full with scars and blood.

She tried to never reflect her pain or suffering to anyone, even from her best friend Momo Hinamori.

As thoughts wander inside of "inner Rukia", she entered her school entrance and saw her friends gossiping at the usual spot. With a big smile plastered on her face, she joined them.

"Yoooo!!! Gooodd Morrninnggg," cheered Rukia, tapping Momo's head.

"Good morning, Rukia. Your energy is high as usual," said her friend, giving her a peach juice.

"Of course, it is. I didn't study today's exam, I haven't done my homework and also took a false report from my doc who claims my ankle is hurt for the gym ," Rukia smiled happily.

Tatsuki raised an eyebrown "Rukia, you haven't been attending any of the classes…You wil-"

"Don't worry, Tatsuki. I will do fine," Rukia glimpsed to her group of friends. They were looking at her with concerned eyes. If only they knew…

As a savor, the first lessons bell rang and Rukia stayed behind. Momo turned back, "Rukia, won't you come to the lesson?"

"You go ahead, I will catch the second lesson."

"….."

She watched the bunch of students slow walk to their respective classes. Smiling, laughing, kicking, drinking, eating, all of them seem to be happy for her. With her so-called hurted ankle, she climbed to the nearest tree in order to be out of range of any teachers or students.

She just need silence.
