Disclaimer: I do not own Spider-Man, Eddie Brock, anything like that, it all belongs to Marvel and such.
Eddie's Prayer
by Robin Brown
Dear God,
It's Brock, sir. Edward
Brock, Jr.
And I have a prayer...
I come to you on bended
knee
To ask you for a favor.
It's a big thing to ask
you for,
But it would really be a
life-saver.
I just wanted to be a
photographer,
To capture action scenes,
And live my life like a
normal guy does,
Wearing hooded sweatshirts
and jeans.
But now my life is
upside-down,
With the worst pain I've
evern known:
I've been humiliated and
defamed,
Betrayed and all alone.
Who's fault is it that I'm
like this?
Who took away my rightful
bliss?
I'll give you a hint: it
starts with a P
And ends with a terrible
life for me.
His name is Peter Parker,
A scrawny little guy.
He looked so normal at
first;
So short, weak, and shy.
But now I know that he's a
beast
Unlike any other kind.
When trouble strikes, he
transforms,
Claiming he wants to save
mankind.
That can't be true at all,
Because I've seen his
eyes.
They're cold and dark,
full of hate,
Burying hurt, pain, and
lies.
I had a job until he came
along.
It's sad; I'd just been
hired.
But then he exposed my
secret to them
And quickly got me fired.
He stole my dream, my job,
my girl.
He ruined me and wrecked
me.
It hurts so bad, I can
hardly stand it,
So revenge is definitely
the key.
Could you help me,
God?
Will you destroy him, please?
I'm begging you, sir,
And it's not with ease.
That's all I can say, for
it's getting late.
As the sky outside grows
darker,
I'll reveal my deepest
wish to you, God:
Please kill Peter Parker.
