Michael woke to find her at the other end of the bed, still awake, staring at the Christmas lights that were visible through the cheap curtains of the hotel's room. He glanced at his watch not sure of how much time had gone by, two hours. "Did you use to celebrate the holyday?" He asked several seconds later noticing her lost on her thoughts. When she looked at him he quickly added, "...When human, I mean." Something told him that that was what had her absorbed, at least on this occasion. He had seen her staring at the Christmas lights on the roadway, not being able to ignore something as trivial.
Selene breathed deeply coming back to the moment and only finding an answer until several minutes later, "We were given presents from our parents, I think…There are memories I'm not sure anymore."
And she didn't say more, she just kept staring at the Christmas lights maybe trying to remember. To a point he knew what it felt like. He couldn't remember his most recent Christmas like human, the last ones had been full of sadness and the ones before that he had given them for granted. Michael didn't know what to say, or maybe he did, what he certainly knew was that in the moment Selene didn't seem interested in talking. Michael turned on his back and with a gesture she didn't seem to notice invited her to get closer, a couple of seconds later she rested her head on his shoulder while placing an arm across his torso, a leg intimately finding a place between his. And she kept staring at the lights.

This is something I wrote two years ago. There is a longer version of this story but it is not completely translated that is something I will have to do someday. Sorry for all the mistakes.
