A young boy with spikey blonde hair sat at the edge of a clocktower. People know him as Roxas, number XIII in the Organization. However, after such a long time in the organization, their hearts returned on their own-So they disbanded. The superior seemed rather angered with this forsome odd reason. Why? Roxas didn't know. All he knew was that hismission was completed. But what now?

Despite the return, he still felt somehow...Hollow and empty inside. Roxas knew there was something more he needed, but he couldn't quite place his finger on it...

His thoughts were interupted, however, when an ice cream bar was shoved in his face, "Knew you'd be here." a voice replied. Roxas glanced up to see his best friend, whom was like an older brother to him, grinning at him.

"Hey Axel." he greeted, half in thought still. "You're not turning into a zombie on me again are ya?" Axel laughed, Roxas joined in as the two friends shared their ice cream on the clock tower. As they had done many times before.

The red head knew that something was on Roxas's mind, and began to ask him why. Roxas, whom now believed that Axel had all the answers, began to explain what had been on his mind, "It's just...Ever since we've supposedly gained 'hearts' I've somehow felt empty still. I've also been finding myself gathering shells whenever I go to the beach. Just one each day though. I keep them all in a box next to my bed. I'm not even sure why, but I feel even emptier when I think about it."

Axel was just silent for awhile, but then pulled out a diary, and handed it to him. He then left without a word.

Roxas's eyes grew wide, however. This was HIS diary. How did Axel get it? What did he read? Most importantly-Saix said no one would read it! However, he eventually put those thoughts to the back of his head and reopened his diary once again.

What he read astounded him, who was this girl named Xion? Did he really have a friend other than Axel? Why couldn't he remember her? But enough of his questions he knew he'd never get direct answers to. His heart began to beat a little bit faster, and he felt happy as he began to get a picture of the girl in his diary, at the same time, it pained him that she apparently left. What did it mean by puppet?

He didn't really seem to care. He assumed the emotion he felt about her was what Axel called 'love'. He also knew that Xion was now someone he'd never forget...Or ever feel complete without.
