Summary: This is a poem about the thoughts of Lord Elrond as he watched his wife depart over the sea.

Farewell, My Love

Farewell, my love Celebrian, we shall meet again in the years to come.

It will be many long years before I can see your beautiful smile, hear your laugh which sounds like bells ringing over fair Imladris.

It will be many long years before I can share times with you, good and bad, for in the past we faced those times together.

It will be many long years before you can see your three children again, your three children whom brought both joy and sorrow to both of us.

In spite of how long those long years seem, we will meet again. When that day comes, I will see your beautiful smile; hear your laugh ringing like bells.  We will face many more times together, both the good and bad.  And you will see your children again, your three beautiful children.

Farewell, my love Celebrian, we will meet again.

A/N:  I hope you like this small, sad poem that shows how much pain the Lord of Imladris felt sending his wife over the sea.  I know poetry isn't my strong point, but I think this poem is one of my best.  Just a reminder to you all who are reading this, would you please do me a favor and review?
