A.N: Hey guys, this is my contribution to Day One of LietPol week. I'm not sure how many of these stories I'll be able to finish in time, but I'll do my best. I own nothing!
Toris wasn't sure this was a good idea. It could go so badly, but at the same time, it could be worth it. He was sitting next to Feliks at the EU meeting, waiting for it to end. Feliks seemed to be doing the same, tapping his pen on the table, his foot on the floor. He'd never had much patience for these things. Toris smiled at his old friend, understanding how he felt. He was also certain how he felt, too. It had taken a long time, but he was sure now. This feeling was why he was so keen for this meeting to end. He had something to say, and it could either ruin things forever between him and Feliks, or make them better than they'd ever been.
Finally, it was over. Feliks was staring into space, so Toris tapped his shoulder, bringing him back to reality
"Can I talk to you about something? Alone?" he asked, trying not to let his nerves show.
"Sure, Liet. What's up?" he asked, smiling.
"Come with me and I'll tell you, okay?" Taking Feliks's hand, they stood up and left the room. Toris looked for somewhere they could go. Finding an empty room, he pulled Feliks in.
"Alright, Feliks. I'm going to tell you something, and for once you're going to listen," he put his hands on Po's shoulders, looking straight into his eyes.
"Kk, but, like, I always listen to you!" Toris was tempted to roll his eyes but decided against it.
"No, you don't. We both know you don't," Feliks sighed, knowing Toris was right.
"Fine. What do you want to tell me?"
"Alright. This is going to be a little awkward, and you may not like this. If you don't like it, that's okay. I'll stop." he sighed, closing his eyes. "I love you, Feliks. I suppose I always have, and I know I always will. I know things haven't always been easy for us, and our relationship has never really been perfect, but either way, I think there's still a chance. So, with that being said, would you like to go on a date with me?" Feliks stared at him for a moment, then he smiled.
"Of course, Liet!" he reached up to put his arms round Toris's neck and kissed him, quickly. Too quickly. He'd pulled away before Toris could respond, and was already heading for the door. He turned around briefly, smiling. "Is half seven good for you?" he nodded, trying to make sense of the last minute or so.
"Awesome! I'll see you then!" with that, he was gone. Toris blinked. Had that really just happened? Had Feliks actually agreed to go on a date with him, after all this time? Not only that, but he'd asked if the time was good rather than just going ahead and arranging something, as he normally would. Since when did that happen? Feliks never asked for second opinions, not for things like this. It was probably best not to question it further, and just be glad that it was something he did now. There was also that kiss, the first one in their new relationship, and hopefully not the last. It had better not be their last, the first one barely counted. Sighing, he left the room. He'd get it next time, he promised himself.
