Well the season finale just gave me too many emotions, the majority of which were "holy crap that was awesome" and then Blake and Weiss feels. And of those, mainly Weiss feels. So this is just a very short thing I threw together in 3 minutes. Not much, but enough.
Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY.
Unspoken
Night was falling by the time Weiss and Yang were notified of their teammates' location.
Twelve hours.
Weiss had spent twelve hours' worth of time trudging through town with a sickening pain in her chest.
For twelve hours she had reflected on the things she had said, the things she had done.
For twelve hours, her eyes had flashed about anxiously for any sign of her missing teammate, her nails digging into her palms until they pierced the skin.
Twelve hours of her mind buzzing with, "Where could she have gone?" and "This is all my fault" and "What if we lose her?"
The very instant Weiss caught sight of the others, she lengthened her stride ahead of Yang's until she reached them.
Ruby immediately hopped up and advanced toward the heiress, her mouth already babbling a mile a minute as she tried to defend Blake against Weiss' anticipated ire. But Weiss just continued walking, brushing past her partner before coming to a halt before Blake.
She glared up at the taller girl through narrowed, calculating eyes. Her gaze scoured over Blake's expression, which was earnest and uncertain, but nothing more.
Thank goodness she isn't hurt.
Weiss felt the suffocating knot that had been tangled within her chest for the past day slowly begin to untwist itself. She resisted both the urge to let out a long sigh of relief, as well as the the urge to smack Blake upside the head.
You idiot. Don't you ever go running off again.
Blake immediately began to apologize. "Weiss, I want you to know that I'm no longer associated with the White Fang." She said quickly, as though trying to say as much as she could before the heiress cut her off with stinging words. "Back when I was with-"
"Stop." Weiss made sure her voice revealed no signs of the crushing fear she had been experiencing for the past several hours that was only now beginning to dissipate. Keeping her voice steady, she continued. "Do you have any idea how long we've been searching for you?"
Long enough for me to almost suffer a panic attack a thousand times over.
"Twelve hours." Weiss stated. "That means I've had twelve hours to think about this. And in that twelve hours, I have decided…"
She could tell Blake was holding her breath.
"I don't care." Weiss snapped.
I was so worried. You idiot.
"…You don't care?" Blake repeated.
I swear you're an even bigger dunce than Ruby.
"You said you're not one of them anymore, right?"
I'm sorry for what I said. I'm sorry I hurt you.
"No, I-I haven't been since I was younger-"
"Ah-pup-pup-pup-pup!" Weiss threw her hand out to stop her. "I don't want to hear it." Thank goodness. "All I want to know, is that the next time something this big comes up… you'll come to your teammates." She huffed. "And not some… someone else." Her eyes flashed toward the Faunus boy sitting behind Blake.
I've never had teammates before, so don't you dare ever think to go disappearing on us ever again. We're a team now and we've got to look out for one another.
Blake met Weiss' eyes before she quickly wiped away a stray tear. "Of course."
Good.
Weiss smiled.
Don't you ever make me worry about you like that again.
A/N: Just because we all know Weiss was worried about Blake deep down.
