I knew Rosalie was cheating on me. When I first figured it out, I did the closest thing to cry that a vampire could. She's been my wife for decades, I never thought we would end like this. I held our wedding photo in my hand, a sad smile on my face. In my other hand was my phone, Rosalie's contact pulled up. I closed my eyes and pressed the call button, a silent sob racking my body.

"Hello?" She picked up on the last ring, like usual. She didn't say "hey, baby" like she use too. Someone was with her and I knew it.

"What are you up to, Rosie?" I tried to keep my voice cheerful, but I couldn't help the sorrow lacing my words.

"I'm out, I'm a little busy. I'll call you later." She hung up without a goodbye. She didn't plan to call back, she would stay out all night and return home in the morning. She would peck my lips and smile in my face while lying through her teeth. It wouldn't hurt so bad if she would have just said that she wasn't in love with me anymore, but she running around behind my back. I wanted to be angry at her, I wanted to give her a piece of my mind, but I just couldn't. I was so defeated after months of this, I didn't have the energy to argue with her anymore.

A laid across our bed and hugged her pillow, the pillow she hadn't slept on for weeks, the one that smelled of me now because I couldn't sleep well without her next to me. I was thrilled when I was changed, vampires could sleep and I thought it was amazing, but now my nights were filled with nightmares and I wake up exhausted.

I thought I had eternity with this woman, but it seems our time has run out.

I woke up the next day and finally felt a little courage. I called my wife, determination holding the sadness at bay.

"Hello?" Her voice was breathy like she ran a marathon. I narrowed my eyes at the phone and pushed on.

"Who are you with?" She was silent for a moment before answering.

"I'm out with friends." That was a lie, Rosalie didn't like anyone.

"You're cheating on me, aren't you?" Another silence.

"I'm not." I frowned at her tone. She sounded irritated, her usual response when being called on her bullshit.

"Then say my name." She hung up.

She came home today. Her eyes were cold and her smile was icy, but she still pecked my lips and went upstairs to the library. I followed closely behind her, I wasn't finished with her. She didn't get to do this to me anymore.

"Who is he?" I whispered as I entered the library behind her. She growled, her shoulders tensing. "I know you're cheating, Rosie. Just tell me who he is!" A sob rolled from my mouth and her eyes softened. She sighed and sat on an armchair across from the shelves and motioned for me to sit in the one next to her. She turned her body and looked me in the eyes.

"I want a divorce." She spoke softly. I nodded and she began to stand from her seat, but I grabbed her wrist.

"After all of these months, I at least deserve to know who the man who stole your heart from me is." I wasn't being malicious, the soft smile on my face told her that I was still her friend even if I wasn't going to be her husband for much longer. She gave a small smile, her eyes sparkling as she thought of whoever it was.

"Bella." I gasped.

"My brother's wife?" She nodded. I closed my eyes and sighed and when I looked back at her, I grinned.

"You've got good taste, Rosie." She exhaled as he spoke and her smile grew.
