Mood Swings
Temari and Shikamaru had been dating for almost a year, and decided to get their own apartment. They had successfully found one that had three bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, and a living/dining room. The extra bedroom is only there for storage, or if a friend needed a place to stay. Their friends had held a party at Hinata, and Kiba's place for the couple. The occupants were Naruto and Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi, Lee and Ashley, Hinata and Kiba, Temari and Shikamaru, Amaya and Kabuto, and Tenten and Neji. (They are listed in their pairings... For example: Neji/Ten) The couple for whom the party was for had left early to go back to their apartment to celebrate on their own.
The first two months had been fine, but then Shikamaru and Temari had become more distant.
Four months from the party Temari and Shikamaru were sitting the couch, in the very organized living room.(Please picture their apartment anyway you would like... I am not to good at description. Sorry!) Temari was on one side of couch and Shikamaru on the other looking dazed and content. All was silent until broken by a certain Sand ninja.
"Shikamaru!" Temari scowled the lazy male.
"What." He said so full of enthusiasm.
"I love you." She said in a hushed tone.
"What?" He said in a surprised tone.
"What do you mean 'What'!" She screamed back.
"By what I meant What did you say?"
"Ohhh! So is it a shock for me to say That!" She continued to scream.
"No! I love you too!" He responded... Want to know what he was thinking? Well.. 'Troublesome woman. I should have went with Midori like my mother had said.'
"You do?" She asked in a quiet whisper, looking on the edge of tears.
'This is getting weird. First she wants my love, then she wants me dead, and now she wants the truth... Huh. Troublesome woman.'
"Temari?" Shikamaru responded, his eyes half lidded.
"Yes?" She said in the same whisper.
"I do love you... You know that?"
"Yea, I do." She said and made a move to kiss him. Then at the last possible second she slapped him.
"What was that for!" Said slapped person screamed.
"For not speaking your mind!"
"You want me to speak my mind!" Shikamaru screamed at her.
"Yes!" Temari screamed back.
"You are a troublesome woman and have more mood swings than a pregnant woman!" He yelled.
"I am a pregnant woman!" She retaliated. Shikamaru was speechless. "What?" Temari questioned.
"What do you mean?" Shikamaru asked stunned.
"I knew you would hate me now!" She screamed as she made a move to get up.
Shikamaru grabbed her wrist and brought her into a passionate kiss. After that ended Shikamaru yelled "I love you! You troublesome woman!"
Yo! I would like to thank my twin for the inspiration for this story! She has major mood swings and thus this story was born!
