Hey there everybody. Yep, I'm actually alive. School has kept me busy, not to mention what I'm pretty sure is a mild case of ADD.

Anyway, to make sure I don't get rusty, and give my "loyal fans" (I don't deserve the people who have liked my shit and are so patient with me TT_TT) something to read while I get everything together.

So I came up with this idea while I was playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood the other day (Thanks Ubisoft for creating such an addicting game -_-).

So without further ado, here's some more Desmond and Lucy fluff to gum up the internet.

These are Desmond's thoughts.

These are Lucy's thoughts.

These are their thoughts together.

I don't own Assassin's Creed.

Tomorrow Never Comes

Desmond relaxed on the sloped roof of the ruins of Monteriggioni, one of the few opportunities he got to enjoy being out of the Animus.

Not that he held the slightly constricting hours against any of them. He knew they were on a tight schedule, and that he needed to find the Apple as quickly as possible.

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard footsteps on the shingles.

"Nice night, huh."

Desmond turned his head to see Lucy standing just behind him, her weight forced onto one foot because of the roof's slant.

He smiled and nodded. "Yeah."

Lucy sat down beside him, and he couldn't help but to appreciate the brief contact between her shoulder and his.

He continued talking. "I was never able to see the stars this well in New York."

"I know what you mean. I missed being able to see this many," Lucy agreed.

Desmond gave a wry grin. "Yeah, I'll bet you had a lot of time to star-gaze, since you were probably always moping about at home."

Lucy responded in kind, punching him on the arm, with Desmond feigning agony.

"How rude! I told you before, I know how to have fun," she defended, a playful smirk tugging at her lips.

"Mm. I remember. Don't forget, you still have to prove that claim," Desmond challenged.

Lucy's smile turned somewhat warmer as she looked up at the stars. "I intend to."

They sat in comfortable silence for a while, stealing glances at each other when they thought they wouldn't be caught.

Desmond thought about his recent endeavors within his ancestor's memories. "Judging by how I've got Cesare on the run in the Animus, we're probably close to figuring out where Ezio hid the Apple."

He took a quick look at Lucy as she admired the night sky. He smiled.

"Once we have it, I'll let her know."

Lucy meanwhile, was thinking along the same lines.

"We've got to be getting close to the location of the Apple. We might just have the edge here for once."

She looked at Desmond out of the corner of her eye and smiled.

"Once we have it, I'll tell him."

Lucy stood abruptly and walked to the edge of the roof. She looked back at Desmond and smiled.

"Come on. The sun's starting to come up. We need to get inside."

Desmond nodded and lifted himself from his seat. "Yeah."

The rising sun painted the town an array of colors ranging from dusty pink, to bright orange, to a faint red, casting it's light on the two Assassins.

"I wonder what she'll say."

"I wonder what he'll say."

They shared a smile before beginning the climb down to the courtyard.

"Tomorrow."

And done. (looks back)

I don't know. If only I had an opinion other than mine to go by. (looks expectantly at audience)

By the way... ASSASSIN'S CREED 3! WOOT! EXCITEMENT! Can't wait.
