Dean's eyes stared hopelessly at his laptop screen. Although it was playing a film which he was supposedly watching, his mind kept flicking back to earlier that day. It felt so strange and wrong that he just didn't get it. The angels had fallen. Cas had no grace. He had lost all his powers and now was living with him, Kevin and Sammy in the bunker. Castiel was just like a regular person now.

Just as Dean was thinking that, Castiel burst into the room in a loud clatter of noise ,swinging the heavy doors behind him. He stood directly in front of Dean; muscles tensed, eyes flooded with fear.

"Dean, Something wrong… with me." Cas spurred out. Immediately Dean sprung up, slamming the screen down on the laptop. The stared directly into Cas's eyes and cried out an almost instant,

"What's wrong?"

"Well I feel weak, my limbs are becoming more unresponsive, my head is feeling strange and my eyes have started to close involuntary." Dean's face softened and a smile began to spread across his lips. The angel looked at Dean puzzled, waiting or an explanation to his lack of worry.

"You're tired Cas. You need to go to sleep."

"Ohh, umm… I knew that. It's just..well.. I've never really slept before." He smiled slightly at Dean, in an embarrassed sort of way. Dean moved one of his arms around Castiel and began helping walk him to bed. Cas's feet began tripping up and by the end of it, his entire bodyweight was resting on Dean. Dean lowered Cas into his bed and began to tuck him in, being careful around his shoulders, where the wings use to be, because he knew it was sensitive and would upset Castiel to think about his wings.

As Dean was about to walk away, a little voice came from under the covers.

"How do you go to sleep?"

Slowly and gently Dean replied "Close your eyes and relax, I'll tell you a story."

"Once upon a time, there were three bears. A mummy bear, a daddy bear and a baby bear." Dean narrated the words to Cas, watching his eyelids grow heavier as the story progressed. By the time it was finished Cas was fast asleep, tucked up in a cocoon of blankets.

Dean stood up and tip-toed out of the room. Just before shutting the door behind him he turned around looked at Castiel and whispered softly "Winchesters are watching out for you."
